that bit after the credits sounds amazing! :w00t: i also heard theres meant to be a Nick Fury cameo in it

Frankly, I'm totally mystified as to why Nick Fury has changed skin colour tbh...... If you read The Avengers/Captain America/Nick Fury - Agent of SHIELD comics, he's a white guy... All of a sudden, he's turned into Samuel L Jackson.... As much as I like Sam, I'm not sure that this is really a good idea tbh.... I'd have thought Bruce Willis would've made a pretty good Nick Fury....

its based on the version of him in the 'Ultimate Marvel Universe' (which is an alternate Marvel Universe for those not in the know) in which Fury was black,

Yeah, I've done a bit of research now involving this... It's been years since I actually read any Marvel Comics... But isn't it the case (as I understand it..) that The Avengers were called The Ultimates in this universe, and isn't their roster slightly different....? I dunno whether this mixing up of the universes will take well with the fanboys.... I still remember the amount of stick the X-Men films got over their messing around with important characters like Rogue and Iceman....

this was really good enjoyed it so much cant wait till it comes out on Dvd

i heard Doomsday is a bit c**p :(

You were right... It IS a bit c**p.... Very disappointing effort from Neil Marshall ("The Descent" and "Dog Soldiers"), who is capable of a lot better....

yeah those films were cool - tho i'm guessing Doomsday would work better on DVD late a night when you've got to the stage where that Kebab tastes so like the most amazing thing you've ever tasted - as a kinda visual cheese for the eyes - when you cant make out the subtitles on film 4

Yeah, Doomsday pretty much IS a 'straight-to-DVD', post-pub-at-home-with-mates-and-a-few-tinnies-and-a-kebab sort of film.... Unfortunately, I saw it in a cinema stone-cold sober....

Doomsday is the sort of movie (as opposed to 'film') that has no business taking up cinema space IMO, without Marshall's (now tarnished) reputation, this would never have made it beyond the local Blockbusters.....

I went to see "Outpost" last week, it was exactly the sort of film that Neil Marshall used to make...... Quite claustrophobic, grittily shot, enjoyable horror stuff with Nazi Zombies terrorising a group of mercenaries in a bunker in the middle of a forest in Eastern Europe.... Imagine Castle Wolfenstein crossed with "Dog Soldiers"..... Not bad at all, apart from a slightly dodgy ending.....

Well I didn't have huge expectations watching this, but it was quite good I thought. The director of this really did a good job with the film I must say. Hopefully he'll be back on board for the sequel. Robert Downey Jr was fantastic as well. I've never really been a fan of him before and he was a bit of a murky past, but he was excellent in this. Got into character really well, and he showed the transformation of his character excellently.

The Avengers looks good too. I just hope that they don't cast too well known actors for Thor and Captain America or it could become such a bad film. It's much better when a less known actor is cast for the beginning of franchise (sp?) films.
