May 28, 200817 yr I'm mostly agreed with you Robintime, other than the arena thing. I'm actually really glad they played smaller venues because it's so much more intimate and the experience is much, much better imo. Also they played two nights at some venues, such as the Manchester Apollo, where the total audience over both nights was around 12,000. Those two nights both sold out and so they could presumably have sold more tickets; a night at the MENA would only have been playing to 15,000 or so anyway, so by playing some smaller venues two nights running they barely lost out. ^_^ Smaller venues are more intimate yeh but a lot of artists do more than one night at the MEN anyway and most acts who can fill arenas, play at arenas. Thats beside the point anyway. My main point is about them losing their edginess and whether they can reclaim it successfully.
May 28, 200817 yr I hate to be a bitch but I'm struggling to believe you listened to the entire album 5 times over on youtube... Well obviously not on the same day or anything, but I definitely went back to it a few times between it's release and now. As for the 'losing edginess' thing, I'm fully agreed. However Girls Aloud sort of did too by releasing all the safe songs on the album as singles...
May 28, 200817 yr Safe songs sell, e.g. About you now, call the shots, wow etc, people dont seem to go for edgy pop anymore. Its a shame.
May 29, 200817 yr Some blog has said this: Unpredictable Sugababes! They have a long history of telling fans false information about their next single-releases. It's not bad thing, but there is not anything sure about their comments before we see something official posted. A while ago Keisha said that the girls are focusing on new album and will not be releasing futher singles from "Change". But, they also pushed back the upcoming new album explaining that they want to be sure that they don't rush with their music, they want to release quality-album. Now Heidi has stated in one of their latest interviews that the next single is still undecided. They are in the middle of deciding the fourth single. Strong rumours are that it'll be either "Never Gonna Dance Again" or "My Love Is Pink". We'll see. Anyone else heard anything about this supposed 'latest interview'?
