May 23, 200817 yr i dreamt last night that i heard NGDA on the radio I dreamt I worked in a takeaway   I hope this is not gonna be an incling of whats gonna happen in the future LOL
May 23, 200817 yr i hope we get to hear some Timbaland stuff. plus i'd kinda like the babes to get a bit more of an RnB Urbany feel back, kinda like AWDF/3 I hope we don't get a new album of timbaland songs. Everybody is working with him and I hate that style of music. It would ruin the Sugababes unique sound.
May 24, 200817 yr That'd be an absolutely terrible single choice. :heehee: It would probably be #1 worldwide, if released.
May 25, 200817 yr it only feels like yesterday when i bought 'Change' and it was the day of release! I think they picked the wrong 2nd single. It was nothing compared to About You Now, and the video was boring... Different singles would probabbly have had a better effect on the album, but hey, what do i know
May 26, 200817 yr I don't know what went wrong with 'Change' and 'Denial', I thought they were both excellent singles. How was 'Change's video boring though when you look at 'About You Now's ultra-cheap video? As for the album, I was intending to buy it but then I actually heard it, there were about 2 or 3 tracks MAXIMUM aside from the singles which weren't total boredom. :(
May 26, 200817 yr Perhaps if you at least downloaded it and played it a few times they would grow on you? God forbid the album wouldn't be instant!

The only good songs are AYN, Denial and as a plain catchy track, NGDA. The rest is boring IMO. I think the babes are in a dangerous position with the next album, they have lost a bit of cred recently and if the new stuff isn't well recieved, it could be the end. I really hope they totally blow eveyone away though.
May 27, 200817 yr The main criticism of the era seems to be that they've lost some edginess and that a couple of the songs are slightly bland...in the main, AYN, Denial, NGDA, MLIP and Mended By You were very well received and favoured highly amongst previous Sugas classics, but the rest were generally ignored. One positive thing about the era is how the tour has been a huge success and nearly everybody who saw it said it was their best and one of the best they've ever been to by anybody, which is obviously fabulous.

Thats definately the problem, the loss of their edginess and i'm afraid they lost a lot of that when Mutya left. They also have the problem of Change's image being all milky white and pretty. Compare the HITH video with change or denial - completely different images. And its cool the tour went down well but they should be filling arenas and releasing dvd's really. One thing is for sure, their next album needs to be different to the last - more upbeat and sexy IMO.
May 28, 200817 yr I don't think they have lost they're edginess I mean Easy was hardly a safe song was it.
May 28, 200817 yr Just as long as they so something different to Change next time round, everything should be fine. Chnage was playing it slighly safe though.
May 28, 200817 yr I'm mostly agreed with you Robintime, other than the arena thing. I'm actually really glad they played smaller venues because it's so much more intimate and the experience is much, much better imo. Also they played two nights at some venues, such as the Manchester Apollo, where the total audience over both nights was around 12,000. Those two nights both sold out and so they could presumably have sold more tickets; a night at the MENA would only have been playing to 15,000 or so anyway, so by playing some smaller venues two nights running they barely lost out. ^_^
