Posted May 5, 200817 yr The weekly preview of what, might happen on next Sunday`s charts. I must thank the incredibly dashing John McManus (no relation to Jack) for his help today. On last week`s thread we had 35 in the top 40 singles (shame about Hadouken, and Ben`s Brother, they did better physically than downloads). We did better in the top 30, apart from those 2 mentioned already, with 28 in the 30, and 18 in the top 20. On the album front, we had 10 in the combined top 10 :yahoo: 18 in the 20, and 28 in the 30 (re-entries let us down). (Some think we make it up, but we don`t. There are mathematical equations, Sunday/Monday sales, pre-orders, and downloads taken into consideration). LIL` WAYNE still knocks about the top 50. CHARLETONS miss the boat with "MISBEGOTTEN", in the lower reaches of a top 75, not much else happening. Pre-orders not released yet show that CHANNELLE HAYES (I WANT IT), TING TINGS (THAT`S NOT MY NAME), are both heading top 20 bound. The CARDIFF CITY FANS (DO THE AYATOLLAH) is also a fair-sized pre-order! :puke2: No, I don`t like football either! ;) How did we do in 1995?.... We did this on 1st May 95 01 10 SOME MIGHT SAY - OASIS 02 01 BACK FOR GOOD - TAKE THAT 03 02 KEY TO MY LIFE - BOYZONE 04 04 I`M IN CHAINS - TINA ARENA 05 03 TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME - BOBBY BROWN 06 33 CHANGING MAN - PAUL WELLER 07 25 GUAGLIONE - PEREZ PRADO 08 06 IF YOU ONLY LET ME IN - MN8 09 05 HAVE YOU REALLY EVER LOVED A WOMAN - BRYAN ADAMS 10 NE WE`RE GONNA DO IT AGAIN - MAN UTD FC 11 NE DREAMER - LIVING JOY 12 36 ARMY OF ME - BJORK 13 09 OUTTHERE BROTHERS - DON`T STOP 14 21 JESSIE - JOSHUA CADESON 15 32 BUDDY HOLLY - WEEZER 16 08 LOVE AND DEVOTION - REAL MCCOY 17 31 I WANNA GO WHERE THE PEOPLE GO - WILDHEARTS 18 07 BEST IN ME - LET LOOSE 19 26 A UBHAL IS AIRDE - RUNRIG 20 12 IF YOU LOVE ME - BROWNSTONE 21 NE MY GIRL JOSEPHINE - SUPERCAT 22 11 LOVE CITY GROOVE - LOVE CITY GROOVE 23 37 YOUR BODY`S CALLING E.P. - R. It`d never happen 13 years on! We only got 32 records placed in that week`s top 40, shocking! :( I haven`t even got the title for the THE THE single, it did not apparently make the top 75, it was the follow up single to "I SAW THE LIGHT".....Can anyone tell me the title, please???????
May 5, 200817 yr Scooter will be that high in the albums? :o And what a drop for Mariah also in the albums. Down 17 places??? :o :o :o
May 5, 200817 yr cheers trevs! can't find anything for The The in May 1995 - they had no single make the top 200 in May 1995 and nothing showing as a single release from then either - all I can find on the web is the January 1995 release (I Saw the Light) and then a single in 2000, 5 years later: http://www.interzone23.com/thethe/singles.html

May 5, 200817 yr for singles this coming week, I think it may be hard for Madonna to have a 4th week, it will be close between her, Wiley and Sam Sparro with about 30k at the most needed for #1 - perhaps as low as 25k might clinch it.
May 5, 200817 yr Scooter top 5 in the albums no way. Coldplay might go top 10when does Coldplay go on sale? Isn't the track still free until Tuesday? Or was that last week?

It may have been, a re-surge in interest for I Saw The Light. I can`t remember at all. We used to play the chart, on Student Radio. I think I must have been away then, because the hand written chart, was definately not my writing. Maybe the inmates, at the Uni found new popularity in the record!
May 5, 200817 yr when does Coldplay go on sale? Isn't the track still free until Tuesday? Or was that last week? I thought it was on download release from tomorrow, taken from the release schedule
May 5, 200817 yr Author Scooter top 5 in the albums no way. Coldplay might go top 10 Well Mart!n, old boy according to HMV, ASDA, WHSMITH, WOOLWORTHS, Scooter will! I wonder :D
May 5, 200817 yr ASDA, WHSMITH, WOOLWORTHS all had Jonathan Ansell at number 1 and he actually dropped that week Also I'd expect Def Leppard to be much higher and definitely to outsell Jack McManus
May 5, 200817 yr I thought it was on download release from tomorrow, taken from the release scheduleit probably ties in from when the track ceases to be free at the official website, though even then the OCC could just ignore any sales from that site until it was a paid for track (and presumably the freebie hasn't been registered with Millward Brown anyway).

Maybe a lot of German fans will pick up the Scooter album! ;) But they do have a quite big following, taken into account, rather like the people who will dash out, to get Iron Maiden soon.
May 5, 200817 yr 35 35 9AM - PANIC AT THE DISCO Not sure this band have ever sung about Nine In The Morning!

I think having the 2nd CD as a Greatest Hits will help them enormously and they may go top 10 but I really can't see them going top 3
May 5, 200817 yr I saw Scooter in high places while I was out too...its a 2 disc album, disc 1 is the new album and disc 2 is the greatest hits. Its released on AATW who have had top ten albums with Cascada and Ultrabeat, so you never know!

May 5, 200817 yr not that particular version, but they released a hits album called Push The Beat For This Jam which reached No.6 in 2002 :D
May 5, 200817 yr not that particular version, but they released a hits album called Push The Beat For This Jam which reached No.6 in 2002 :Doh, that's OK then! The chart rules specify that the 2nd album has to be an album that hasn't been available for purchase in its entirety as a separate product. Even then, the rules only seem to apply when the current release is a standard plus limited edition release and the rules only apply to the limited edition release...
May 5, 200817 yr they had a few hits since 2002 which are on here...Maria, Weekend, Posse and a few others...
