Lets let people like what they want...that should be cool... we should be sharing our interest and love for music not attack individualities and self respect!

I am not a fan of any of the artists refered on this thread and i think it is outrageous having arguments...the difference of taste generates topics and posts but lets make this forum a healthy place to all.

Good vibes to all and a great weekend guys!

cool!

Don't hate, appreciate!

Seriously, there are fans out there haha!

It makes me laugh, people on here will say they have no fans, but when it gets a high position next week, it'll be the fans that've got it there.

can you read?... 'us oldies' have never said they have 'no fans', clearly there are people who like this pap.. as for their sales, please read and disgest what thisispop has actually said, that discribes perfectly what will happen.

all you appear to do is argue with people and not support your views on the saturdays with any reason.... coolnav does! and he isnt resorting to personal attacks..

I honestly wasnt referring to you thisispop :)

You're insight has to be the most well rounded on this topic, unlike the rest of the people who dont like it you can see why it WILL do well. Lets just hope everything you say will happen so that they can then release 'Up' and have a high peaking, big selling second single.

hold on a mo...

i too KNOW it will do well and ive never doubted that itll be top ten, (unlike on that vote thread where most thought it wouldnt). but anything less then #5 will be a disaster in a climate of low sales and high publicity.

however, thisispop's comments about it doing well wasnt praise! lol, its being promoted, bought, into a 'high' chart position so its artificial.

i wonder just how well it would be doing IF they only had a fraction of the pro-mo..

you know.. i just wonder how many fans theyd have if they werent pushed as 'the next big thing'.. after all, when claims like this are made they need to be supported with quality material. that is lacking in the shyte-adays. come to think of it, the ONLY artiste that was promoted as 'the next big thing' and lived up to it was............. madonna!

Spot on mate... It's not about the quality of the music at all these days, it's about how much you publicity you can buy. It's all hype, hype, hype and bugger the actual music.. The tune itself is thinner than an anorexic supermodel and has about as much substance as gas, but of course dress it up with a nice video and pretty girlies and hey presto... Of course it'll sell though, this sort of mindless, middle of the road shyte always does because it doesn't make too many demands on people, it has been decreed on high by the mass media marketing machine that turns millions of otherwise intelligent people into mindless fukkin' sheep....

It's weird, cos I've noticed that on the Indie Forum, the posters there are far more likely to spot a hype with no real substance and have a go at it.... Witness recent threads absolutely slamming The Kooks, Pigeon Detectives, etc..... And even the fans of those bands dont respond with the sort of childish tantrums and vitriol to those who criticise them as the poppies do to anyone who criticises their particular faves....

I know it wasnt praise in a certain sense, but im not bothered about ITIL really i just see it as the stepping stone to the far superior 'Up' and the album which i desperatly want them to release. I know the single wont be sold purely on physical and downloads and that a large amount of people would of bought it as a text but i dont care as long as they get a good position and make it to the next singles which i KNOW the girls should be proud of and should release.

Come on though, i mean ok, not alot of new artists get as much promo as The Saturdays in the texting sense but you cant exactly say they've had as much as others in the TV - 3 programmes isnt that much. So each artists label has their own way of breaking an artist, none of which is really that worse than another. Some will pay thousands of pounds getting them on to every television show and others wont, but remember if people didnt like the song on the tv show they wouldnt go and download/buy it and if people didnt like the song on tour they wouldnt of text to pre-order.

Its available to download on sunday btw.

Come off it. How many TV shows are there available for pop acts to go on nowadays?

You've got GM:TV; Loose Woman; Channel 4's Nokia's Green Room .... and guess what they've been on all those shows in the last week.

So that only leaves ITV's This Morning & Channel 4's weekly late afternoon show (at the moment) Richard & Judy (next week with Myleene Klass (who knows a thing or too about manufactured overhyped bands) guesting for the recovering Judy Finnegan ..... and surprise surprise  they are due on both those shows next week.

In short they are getting on every available TV show they possibly can. For crying out loud, I caught a bit of BBC1's The One Show (either Wednesday or Thursday) and they were playing as a backing bed for one of the stories the instrumental version of the Saturday's single (i.e. basically the Yazoo original then )

One fact that cannot be denied is that the Record Company have maximised their efforts to make this band successful. If they eventually fail then it sure as hell won't be because of the Record Company promotional efforts but because the band & the songs are not good enough.

My god, that essay of a post of Russt's which no-one besides I likely even has the patience has made me a little bad sad, if only for your state of mind.

Truly, how can one person believe themselves so superior to another when they've never even met? For all that is flawed with your attitude and your approach, and my god there's a lot of flaws, I would never judge you the way you have me. I think you should find a way to express yourself which doesn't involve attempting to be a bully, because Grimly and Mushy have done so, but perhaps that's beyond you.

Either way, I'm glad you wasted more of your life on that post because now people can see you for what you likely really are.

surely, Jerk, it's more indicative of your rather shallow brain matter that you consider a post more than 3 single lines an 'essay'. Still, you're not averse to letting us know how damn intelligent you are and how well you've done in school - to me, all it shows is how low the standard of education is these days if you think my post was an essay. Actually, the only thing I was amazed at is that someone as nondescript and boring as yourself could muster more than a sentence. I must have been feeling creative last night.

As for not judging me :o - you do - daily. Every post I make - you make it your daily task to respond negatively (as you seem to do with your chosen 'hit list' of Buzzjack members) - as I said, usually in your pithy, bland, bitchy and deeply dull way.

'Bad sad'? Oh dear..... you silly child :D :D :D

and guess what they've been on all those shows in the last week.
Incorrect, they've been on one of those shows in the last week. NGR was over a month ago and Gm:TV over a week ago.
surely, Jerk...

Oh dear..... you silly child :D :D :D

A little rich that you could rant to me about the quality of my education after coming out with that.

Anyway, enough with this. I'd rather not communicate with such a selfish waste of good air any longer.

Gone are the days where there were shows to promote on :drama: BRING BACK SM:TV AND CD:UK!!!!!! :D

Agreed

HALLELUJAH!

I'll hold you to that....

Anyway, The Satudays.... the radio seem to have been deluged with cash from aforementioned record company as they seem to like playing it...and even on repeated listens, it really doesn't get any better. It's pop of the most insipid form..... I'm just surprised someone like Simon Cowell or Louis "but he said he was 18!" Walsh are not behind something as utterly rancid.

You've made your point on the song several times in the thread Russ and now you're just overly repeating yourself with the use of the word "rancid". By all means have your own opinion on the song, i accept it may differ from mine, just stop going on and on mulling over the same thing, everyone in this thread is utterly aware you dislike the song. As for your comments to Jark, where do you get off on being a cyber-bully, talking down to someone much younger than you because you think you know everything about everything? Jark's music tastes may be vastly different to yours, but at the end of the day you're just a bully. end of.

Now, the Saturdays. i'm really starting to get back into this song again now.. i hope it makes top 3 as expected ;o

Urghhhhh I only came in to find out download dates and stuff but had to go through pages of pointless debates

Ooh tomorrow then, will be intresting to see how they do!

talking down to someone much younger than you because you think you know everything about everything?

ahh.. so you think it's maybe more acceptable to talk down to someone older if you're much younger then, is that right? Because I can only assume you've failed to notice Jerk's little shenanigans with me, and many other Buzzjack members, over the past year.

I like being educated and told what's what - as long as the person doing it is educated and knows what's what.

End of.

His name is Jark btw, not Jerk.

Calling him that way only makes you look childish and well silly...
