I should be busy doing work right now but I'm not thanks to the beautiful weather here in Essex, so here's this weeks brand new singles chart, 1 day early cos tomorrow I head back south to get back to uni life :( great......not!!!!

 

To celebrate the weather, I have a chart that will get you dancing and moving!! Talking of movement, this week there are a massive 6 new entries inside the chart :o , which means the list of casualties is much longer than usual:

Adele makes the fastest drop out of the chart this week. If I was compiling a top 40 chart I imagine she would be the biggest faller overall, a great song but I've had to make way for a load of new entries.

 

If you are currently in the sun and reading this now, whether it be sunny today, tomorrow, Friday, the weekend, just play all the new entries and enjoy them, cos they will feel so good in the summer weather. With all these new entries, can The Last Shadow Puppets make it a third week at the top of my chart? It is going to be tough but stay here to find out if they can do it.

 

The chart kicks off this week with the first of this weeks new entries, and it's a track that isn't actually released properly until July 7th. The single is the second to be taken off this artists brand new album, the first is still inside my chart this week, and will be one of the headliners at this weekend's (milked to death) Radio 1 Big Weekend in Maidstone. Number 1 This Week: Infadels climb to number one this week with the brilliant 'Make Mistakes' (1 week so far......).

 

Highest New Entry: Kylie's third single from 'X' enters at 2, plus a classic dance track from Saint Etienne lands at 9.

 

Biggest Faller: The Mystery Jets fall 9 places from 5 to 14, the single is released on June 2nd.

 

Highest Climber: That honour goes to Infadels, up just the one place to number 1.

 

Longest Runner: The title now passes down to Gnarls Barkley, Estelle and Madonna, all spending their 8th week in the chart.

 

Tip For Next Week's Chart: Will Infadels secure the top spot for a second week!? Another big week to come, so it's going to get tougher at the top!!
