I've lost a few posts and sometimes wonder if I remember to send them or if they are 'majicked' away.

I also have lost a few posts some last evening - anyway this is from the Sun i know I know -

SIMON FULLER has been named the most successful British music manager in history.

New figures reveal he has shifted 116 MILLION albums and singles – thanks to THE SPICE GIRLS, EURYTHMICS and all the stars created by his Pop and American Idol shows.

And Simon puts it all down to his loyalty and humility.

“Burning a bridge is never a good thing. You have to be humble,” he says

He's certainly much more loyal and humble than the other Simon who's racked up a similarly huge fortune by IMHO exploiting many of the same people.
That was a fascinating read. There were parts that i couldn't see applying to Darius. I wonder if there is a clause about sountracks in the Uk version as well.
I thought that was supposed to be a UK version because it specifically mentions Darius and mentions by name all the finalists whose options were not being taken up which included in the first but not second reference, Zoe.

blimey -

Will Young is also mentioned , I take it 19 wanted to be in charge of choosing all Will's tracks and albums then, and ronagold only were interested in the three Darius, gareth and Will? that was interesting reading. shame I couldnt understand a lot of it LOL

The first half related to the UK the second half to the US. It's interesting that they made provision for 4 pop idol seasons in the UK.

I thought they all signed contracts at the final 10 stage which were supposed to contain all that sort of thing, but this one looks as if it refers to after the final. Maybe it's a release codicil or something or part of the distribution negotiations with record companies.

I wonder if this is the one torn up when Darius refused to play ball with Simon C and Pete Waterman and told Simon Fuller that he wanted a contract which would allow him to record his own songs.

I do remember seeing what was supposed to be the AI one and it had bits about them owning the person's name and image. It was truly horrendous sounding IMHO.

It will be interesting to see if 19 Recordings is mentioned on Will's new album which is due out about September.
It will be. It'll be interesting to see who released Gareth's next one as well. We know that D is still with 19
