It definitly seems Dalisska has become more comfortable in the Buzzjack song contest by the looks of it, but will any of these songs get anywhere or will people just think they're plain weird?

The first of the five finalists have been confirmed for BJSC7 - Portishead

 

Kylienips have revamped the finalists procedure, for each act to perform 2 tracks and the winning track with the most points will go forward into the contest

Actually, it did VERY well in the semi-finals - Ben and I were thinking it could challenge for victory before the surprising flop in the final :o It did a Questa Notte :heehee:

Geri lies to get into Dalisskian national Final!!!

 

Just minutes after Geri Halliwell was one of the lucky six to qualify to the next stage it was revealed that Geri had already performed in the contest with the song "Desire". Organisers were not informed of this and the police have been called in, if Geri Halliwell is found Guilty of Lieing she faces Five years community service cleaning the sewers of Dalisska as punishment.

 

Because of this Danita Paner who was eliminated in 7th place has been allowed to into the final six.

Sugababes NOT for Kopeka

 

Sugababes have slammed reports that they could be representing Kopeka at BJSC7 with My Love Is Pink

 

Amelle told our reporters "Never, Ashton are our one and only for the Buzzjack Song Contest."

 

Keisha added "Who are Kopeka? Are they the ones that sent that over-hyped opium c**p last time?"

 

The girls were questioned at a press conference held by the Government and the Ashton Selection Committee where the contenders for the BJSC7 slot were announced*. Amelle, Keisha and Heidi were appointed onto the committee after their second representation for Ashton in FSR Rontiva.

 

The trios manager is said to be behind the decision, shortly after the press conference he was sacked by the band.

 

The girls fourth single Back Down was released on Monday and according to Mid-Weeks looks certain to hit the top spot on Sunday.

FSR Farahtyn are ready *faints*

Kopecekfestivalen! under increasing pressure as competitors linked with other countries

 

After the controversial exit of the Sugababes from Pot 1 of Kopecekfestivalen!, a spokesperson for the Kopecek selection committee said that the increasing usage of artists already taking part in Kopecekfestivalen! was "exasperating". Cyndi Serifovic was quoted as saying, "It's really beginning to inconvenience us...it would be a lot easier if other countries would check to make sure that all competitors aren't already in contention for other countries, and it doesn't help that one of the leading competitors this year, Rachel Stevens, is currently the favourite to win and also apparently going to be representing FSR Farahtyn! It's really beginning to get ridiculous...not to mention that a lot of countries seem to be obliviously entering songs that have already been entering. Who's doing the background checks in these countries? It would really help if we didn't have to resort to legal means to defend what we chose first...we have the money, but it's just delaying Kopecekfestivalen! even more!". When questioned over the Sugababes issue, Cyndi was quoted as saying, "With the Sugababes that was a misunderstanding...they've got a strong relationship with Ashton, and as they weren't amongst the favourites and we found out their manager approved their participation without input from the band, we didn't consider it worth the legal costs and let them go. At least Robyn and UnkleJam were saved what would've been a tough fight for the semi-final!". Kopecekfestivalen! is still receiving votes for the quarter-final stage and with 3 very close groups Cyndi was quoted as saying that "Every vote definitely counts for two of the groups...one of the groups was already effectively decided, and now Pot 1 has been resolved, but it's still incredibly close between all participants in the other two groups." Voting will last until Sunday when the results will be announced live on IBK.

THE KINGDOM OF SHADOW NEEDS YOU!

 

The decision making process has been revealed today, with which the representative for the BJSC 7 shall be chosen for the Kingdom of Shadow. As rumoured earlier in the week, the system shall mirror that used by the UK in 'Eurovision: Your Decision', the songs shall be split into three groups from each of which one song shall be chosen to go into the national semi-final, this shall be voted for by the general public AKA you guys. In addition to the three songs chosen, Shadowan judges shall pick one other song to go into the semi-finals. The public shall then vote once more and the two most popular songs shall go through into the national final. Shadowan judges will then pick from these two songs the winner and Shadowan represdentative for BJSC 7!

 

So we need YOUR votes! Pick ONE song from each of these groups to go through into the semi-final, remember TWO songs will be eliminated at the end of this round. You can either post your votes in the Shadowan National thread or PM them to me .

 

Group 1: Hits - These are both songs which have been hits in the Kingdom of Shadow in the past few years.

Well yeah, but that could be used tactically - just take someone who seems really popular from another country before their NF is over, and national finals do end and you can only pick one artist so it's not as if it's a total block on them all! :P
