Herzebania's public has reacted badly to an article over the weekend implying that it made a bad decision to send Laura Stevenson to its debut appearance at the Buzzjack Song Contest and that an internal selection is to be used.

 

"It is true that we have been talking to some big names that we feel could get alot of votes" the head of the Herzebanian delegation has said, "but we are by no means taking power away from the public, who will be as involved as ever in the process."

 

"We don't feel that the wrong decision was made in sending Laura Stevenson last year, who is a very talented musician and songwriter with a beautiful voice. The opinion at HbTV is merely that we were getting our foot in the door last year, and this is the time to start really playing to win."

 

From rumours that have surfaced over the weekend and these statements, Herzebanian media has drawn the conclusion that a single artist national final will be held. Names being mentioned range from last year's national final entrants Siobhan Pettit, Sparks Fly, and even national superstars such as Joana Zimmer and Jeanette.

 

"I can't say much at this stage, but keep an eye out in the next few days for information on the Herzebanian entry this year."

Hmmm.....how about closing confirmation a couple of days before the 17th? Then there are a few more days available to have a semi-final.

Yeah you could open the confirmation a few days earlier too, so you'll know how many people are gonna be in it and then you'll have time to decide what to do regarding the semi-final.

FSR Rontvia announces Maria shortlist
