How many make the final cut?

I think it's a decent enough squad though. No suprise Joe Hart has been included at all!

we play at home to the USA (28th May), then fly out to T&T for that game (1st June).
Dean Ashton (West Ham)

Is it time for him to get a big injury again? He always get one after an England call up lol

23 I think of these 31

Watch it be all the players that could do with a game be withdrawn...

I predict it'll be Jagielka, Warnock, Wheater, Huddlestone, Jenas, Agbonlahor & Ashton. -_-

But it's good for them to know they're near the first team though. I do hope Huddlestone is withdrawn though and I suspect he will be too.

England coach Fabio Capello has brought Peterborough goalkeeper Joe Lewis into his squad after Chris Kirkland returned to Wigan due to a back injury.

The Football Association said Kirkland looks set to miss Wednesday's friendly against the United States after having muscle spasms in his back.

Lewis and Peterborough won promotion to League One this season.

The 20-year-old became Peterborough's record signing in January when he signed for £400,000 from Norwich.

"This is fantastic news for Joe and Peterborough United," Peterborough director of football Barry Fry told the club's official website.

"It will be a fantastic experience for him."

If Lewis makes his debut, he will join a small group of players including Johnny Byrne, Peter Taylor and Steve Bull who have played for England while plying their trade outside the top two divisions.

Ok so im a bit slow here seeing as this was announced on Saturday, but this is great for Joe, he's been a revelation for Posh since he joined us in January, and he seems destined for big things, whether they're with Posh or with someone else :P

A decent enough game tonight. We weren't spectacular but we were solid and overall it was a good performance. Rooney did so much better with a strike partner, although Defoe was very wasteful tonght. Gerrard and Hargreaves were good as well and so were 3 ofthe back 4, still a bit unsure on Wes Brown though.

However, onto David Bentley. There's no doubt he's the best alternative on the right wing but on tonights evidence wit both him and Beckam getting 45 minutes, there's only one choice. And that is still David Beckham, he was our outstanding player in an otherwise dull first half. His set piece deliveries, as usual, were first class!

Gerrard best player on the pitch for me tonight, although bar Rooney there weren't any other players that stood out. Was a bit of a boring game, was typical end of the season stuff. We controlled the game nethertheless but then again we should have done anyway. Brown definitely looks a bit of a weak link at RB... hopefully Richards will be back for when it matters though. Unsure on Lampard though, i'd rather have Barry in the centre of midfield if Capello is going to play Gerrard on the left for the time being.

Chelsea's John Terry, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole, plus Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, Owen Hargreaves and Wes Brown are out.

However, Rio Ferdinand and Chelsea full-back Wayne Bridge will travel.

Gareth Barry could be in line for a captain's role, while goalkeeper Joe Hart and striker Dean Ashton may debut.

Surprised Rio isn't being rested.

I'm glad Ferdinand's stayed. It will give the defence some stability. I expect he'll be in the centre of defence with Woodgate to start off with, and then at half time he'll most likely be subbed off.

I'd just play all the back-ups and see how they do. Let's not forget that the first team only beat T&T 1-0 at the last World Cup.

Hart > Johnson> Jags > Wheater > Warnock > Bentley > Huddlestone > Barry (captain) > Young > Agbonlahor > Ashton

I think the team will be something like this,

Hart

Johnson Ferdinand Woodgate Warnock

Bentley Gerrard Barry Young

Defoe Ashton

Most the back up will get some taste of the action though i'd have thought.
