Girls Aloud have forced Norwegian popstar Annie to drop a track from her upcoming album.

The track 'My Love Is Better' featured backing vocals from the British pop band, who were unhappy with producer/writer Brian Higgins for using them on his collaboration with Annie.

"The girls can't believe Brian didn't let them know first," a source told Teletext.

"Basing a song for another artist around the girls' demo vocals is cheeky of him, to put it mildly."

Annie, real name Anne Lilia Berge Strand, will release Don't Stop in July. Her previous album Anniemal featured the singles 'Heartbeat' and 'Chewing Gum'.

But we've known about this song for ages, so why didn't GA?

Apparently, it's not true.

And anyway Annie released an album sampler on her mailing list yesterday with clips of all the songs. My Love Is Better is on there and features Girls Aloud vocals so I doubt she would have released that if there was any 'controversy' around the song.

The album sounds amazing by the way, although I wasn't expecting any less.

I have to say, My love is better sounds like one of the best songs xenomania have produced. And i say that as an avid GA fan, they should definately want to be part of this sure fire NUMBER 1.

When i heard the clip - i was literally like :o at the screen.
