that really isn't going to endear him to United fans now is it, since Fergie has admitted he might leave Utd altogether in 2 years time.

Do Man Utd fans care about Man City though? Their main rivals are Liverpool and then probably Arsenal and now Chelsea, especially as the majority of United fans don't actually live in Manchester...

 true.

It'll be the armchair ones across the road from Old Trafford bitching

Spurs have signed Dos Santos from Barcelona for an initial fee £4.7m and then Liverpool have almost signed Andrea Dossena Udinese, is just a case of waiting of an offical announcement from the club now.

Ronaldinho's gone to AC Milan then (total waste of money imo, but then again they always say 'form is temporary (sp?), class is perm...').

And the funniest bit of transfer news you're likely to hear all summer! Eto'o is on the verge of signing (on loan though apparently) for some unknown Uzbekistan outfit... all this after claiming he didn't want to join Spurs because they weren't a big enough club! Must be a right kick in the teeth.

It must have been quite a kick in the teeth for him when we refused to pay his £130k a week wages

It is just sour grapes from him

He had the chance of £90k a week in the best league in the world but instead he is chasing the money from somewhere 99% of people could not point out on a map

Says more about him than it does us

David you a Blackburn fan?

I am indeed. [/belatedresponse]

He's apparently gonna be earing $25 million from his 6 months there. Is a lot of money, for just 6 months!

Yeah, we very much care about City.

Me being from Salford, i'd much rather beat City than Liverpool, it's just pride. Losing to the bitters is a BAD thing and it hurts me more than losing to Liverpool.

Well I'd say Liverpool in recent years have been bigger rivals for me considering City have just been a complete joke until recently  There are even times when I've been cheering for them because you need your rivals in the same division because it's just not the same without the Manchester derby. I LOVED it last season because it was the first time in many years I've really felt the rivalry and felt so pissed off when we lost the two games.

What the hell are Spurs doing selling their ENTIRE TEAM btw?

Well last season they were under-par, so I imagine Ramos wants to get rid of a lot of the deadwood. They've already spent pretty big so far this summer so they'll be recouping a lot of that (and their wages for some of the players they've signed won't be cheap!), and then I imagine they'll want to raise funds for some sort of big name striker (probably Villa, but I highly doubt he'll end up at Spurs) to appease the fans.

Ramos making his mark, his own team. Whether it'll be any good time will tell. May follow the route of Man City if too many changes are made, a great start as new players fight for their place, and then it all goes a bit magnolia.
It's Milito, Pavlyuckhenko, Bentley and Capel according to The Scum.

Well neither of those would come that cheap, Bentley's been touted aroud for about £15m, Pavlyuchenko would probably command about £20m after his performance in the Euros. But according to the Marca in Spain today, all 3 of Villa, Joaquin and Silva are up for sale from Valencia, although they only really need to sell one of them really to get the money back for their ground, so I wouldn't be suprised if Spurs put in a bid for Villa.

Well I didn't feel an earthquake but Kaboul has agreed a deal to join Sunderland!

Malbranque and Chimbonda look set to join him and Taino too!

obvious what Ramos is doing...

they're gonna be like a Liverpool reserve team with all these Spaniards that they're after lol...
