Posted May 31, 200817 yr Are you guys looking forward to this? Just saw the trailer, and it looks 100% better than the other, rubbish! I am mostly looking forward to see the tie-in with Iron Man :o
May 31, 200817 yr It looks really good. I've not seen the 1st film, but everyone says it's cack... so i'm not gonna bother. This looks excellent though, the trailer for the Hulk never got me interested in the film, whereas this trailer really does want to make me go to see it. Shall certainly be a big box office hit i'd expect.
May 31, 200817 yr It looks really good. I've not seen the 1st film, but everyone says it's cack... so i'm not gonna bother. I wouldnt say its utter cack - there are loadsa other worse superhero films you could be watching however it wasnt really a big popcorn superhero movie - a big traditional b.o. friendly fuperhero film - has a different modus operandi to those being of a more 'arthouse sensibility' you know with Ang Lee making very much an Ang Lee film going at Ang Lee pace
June 2, 200817 yr The first film was appauling. I seriously hope this is ALOT better. Ed Norton is an excellent actor and if the makers recognise the endless faults in the first one, then it should be good.
June 2, 200817 yr I was thinking "I am sure they made a Hulk film a couple of years ago with that girl from the Labyrinth!" This looks really good! I cannot wait to see this ^_^
June 2, 200817 yr The Hulk had its moments, unfortunately I think Ang Lee was uncertain of what actual tone he wanted to put across... It should have been brilliant, unfortunately it wasn't because of that uncertainty... I didn't really have a problem with the languid pace, the original series wasn't exactly high-octane action every ten seconds, it was quite thoughtful in many ways, concentrating on the pathos and tragedy within the character of Banner, something the comics always tried to put across as well... Lee, I think wanted to focus more on this element, unfortunately he was saddled with a pretty dire script from about FOUR different writers and we got a second half which was pretty much unmitigated c**p and sat incredibly uncomfortably with the more thoughtful opening....
June 4, 200817 yr Being the Marvel fan i am, im quite excited about this :) Also are friend Nick Fury is going to have a cameo, much like Iron Man did, i dont know if it will be during the film or after the credits but i hear he talks to General Ross. I really like Ang Lee's 'Hulk' but i think this will be even better, its promised alot more action and Edward Norton is a fantastic actor. Also the trailers look awesome. Im so glad Marvel have there own studio now, because with there own creative control there making there own movie universe, slowly creating 'The Avengers'
June 4, 200817 yr The first movie was utter cr@p, this movie looks 10 times better, and its based on the comic books, which what lacked Ang Lee's version. Before you see this movie you need to see Iron Man, there is a scene which links both movies together. I'm a fan of all comic book heroes, and the brand new movie goes back to basics to the comics, so if you are a marvel fan this film will entice the Hulk franchise to live on.
June 8, 200817 yr i am going to see this film for one reson only...  :cheer: liv tyler as betty ross   :cheer:
June 14, 200817 yr I saw this tonight and it was alright, not great but then I wasn't expecting it to be. I think the fact that the first was so awful made this seem a hell of a lot better too. The action scenes were good as expected and the links with Iron Man were cool too. Although that was obviously was only picked up on by a small proportion of the audience I'd say. ASIF I'VE SEEN BOTH IRONMAN AND HULK WITHIN THE LAST MONTH AHA
June 14, 200817 yr The other Hulk film that was released a few years ago was utter $h!te. This one looks really good. My mate i think watched it tonight... Wont be able to watch it for another couple of days...
June 16, 200817 yr This was really good i think although as i left the cinema someone said 'That is the worst film i have ever seen' i think it is pretty good, Marvel Studios have succeeded again, not quite as good as Iron Man though. as for the whole Avengers thing... right at the end of the film, after General Ross had made a mess of himself but creating such monsters he is getting drunk in a bar, then walks in a certain fellow, he was called Tony Stark and he said something a long the lines of 'I see your having a little problem, were making a team...' also earlier in the film there was a random thunder and lightening storm, was this the god of thunder and lightening?... The Mighty Thor! who has a film out in 2010, there was one point where a shot of lightening hit hulk, it seemed like it happened on purpose someone has told me they thought they saw a figure with a horned helmet and a red cape faintly in the background of this scene, hmm...
June 17, 200817 yr This was really good i think although as i left the cinema someone said 'That is the worst film i have ever seen' i think it is pretty good, Marvel Studios have succeeded again, not quite as good as Iron Man though. Nah, certainly not as good as Iron Man, but it is better than the new Indy flick; unfortunately it still makes some of the mistakes the first film did, despite a script co-written by Ed Norton... I still believe the best on-screen incarnation to be Lou Ferrigno in many ways, I mean, he's a living, breathing, human as opposed to CGI for a start, and despite the technical advances that have been made since the first film, old Hulkie still doesn't look all that realistic and doesn't really quite blend into the live action as seamlessly as Iron Man did... Solid acting from all concerned though - Ed Norton, Tim Roth, Liv Tyler and William Hurt all giving good performances... Roll on "The Dark Knight".....
June 17, 200817 yr Compared to Ang Lee's (which i happen to like although im proberly the only person) i definatly think the Hulk looked better (rather than that horrible flourescent green in Lee's Hulk), i think the cast was better, i definatly didnt think Bana was very good for Banner but Norton was brilliant, as always, but what i liked most about 'The Incredible Hulk' was that it must be the most connected to the comic than all the other Hulk adaptations. I particularly liked the showing of the purple trousers and where he souted 'Hulk Smash' just like in the comic, also shocked me becuase i didnt think we would hear him speak.
June 19, 200817 yr Norton fits the role perfect, the movie was great to watch, and it aced over Lee Ang's origianl script. I love the idea that the whole story of his radiation accident is told in the credits. I think they left the movie open for a sequel to it. And there was guest appearances in the movie from the man himself Stan Lee, and the original Hulk from the TV series, Lou Ferigno, you blink and you might miss them
June 19, 200817 yr saw this on monday, wasn't expecting much but i was pleasantly suprised very good story and perfect actors i thought

June 20, 200817 yr I loved Stan's appearence, do you reckon he became a Hulk? nothing beats his Iron Man cameo though. I dunno to be honest, I kind of find the way Stan Lee implants himself into the Marvel Universe films to be a bit annoying and rather egotistical... It's a pretty dumb-ass sub-Hitchcock thing to do in many ways.... And unlike Hitch, he kind of draws way too much attention to the fact that he's in the film... Hitch would just be sitting on a park bench, walking his dogs or trying to catch a bus, as opposed to doing the equivalent of wearing a big neon sign saying "Hey, look it's me. Alfred Hitchcock. I'm in the movie.....".
June 20, 200817 yr I dunno to be honest, I kind of find the way Stan Lee implants himself into the Marvel Universe films to be a bit annoying and rather egotistical... yeah even in Heroes it was a bit Cheesy...in a bad :puke2: way... not even in a kitsch Batman 1966 movie or even a useless Supergirl (Helen Slater rather than Laura Vandervoort - tho both actors turn up in Smallville) kinda good cheesy way
June 21, 200817 yr This wasn't as good as Iron Man, but I still thought it was good. It just seemed to be a huge cat and mouse chase and I wasn't keen on the end fight scene... but still it was decent nethertheless. I'm really looking forward to the Avengers film now.
