IMDB says she was "Maroni's Misstress" From what I remember she had one line and was never seen again

I heard she was meant to be playing Harley Quinn?!

Well i suppose 1 line is better than nothing, she is an incredible actress so heres hoping 1 line in this gives her a few more in another movie and so forth.

I thought it was.... alright. I liked it, but three hours was a little too much for me.

One child (Age Seven?) had to leave because he was crying his poor little eyes out.

I just hate all the "lessons" we are supposed to learn though. They seemed so blunt "This is the moral of the movie!" scenes. Seemed destined to be on some students homework assignment, "How are the Joker's morals and Batman's morals different - please explain using examples from the film."

Oh GAWD, way to just completely misunderstand Comic Book logic mate..... They do tend to paint fairly broad strokes and have extreme characters who represent certain moral values.. It's called Allegory...

As for the seven year old, well, The Batman has never really been a kiddies character anyway.... This totally false perception comes from that silly, camp show in the 60s, and from Joel Schumacher's totally sh!tty Batman films.....

How is Sarah Jayne Dunn on it? I know she has a small part, but how many scenes/lines does she get in the final edit?

I saw her, if you blinked you missed her, she was in the nighclub on the verandah talking to Maroni or someone

I got a right boner after seeing it tonight. I want a Batmobile.

EXCEPT I HATE HOW BATMAN TALKS. Since I've never seen Batman films before (I actually despise them hah; it was just all about The Heathmeister for me <3) I'm guessing it's because he can't reveal his identity but can't he get a voice changer thing rather than speak in a WEIRD LISPY general annoying way >:[.

AND TWO-FACE'S FACE WHEN HE ALL MELTED MADE ME LOL SO HARD.

OH AND But yes seconded to what everyone's said about Heath already -swoon-. I don't understand how Heath his face looks rubbery in the movie. Even taking into account the make-up and prosthetics yada yada. Oh and seeing him in THAT wig and costume made the whole film for me ahahah.

I noticed about the Batman, I was thinking, "Does he want a cough drop or something?"

And yeah, when the Joker is waddling out of the building in that Nurse outfit, hilarious.

I just saw this tonight, and have to say I thought it was fantastic. As I expected Christian Bale was brilliant. Heath Ledger on the otherhand was a bit of a let down, even though he was still very good, I suppose it's because so many people talked it up, so I had very high expectations.

AMAZEMENT

Heath Ledger was absolutely fantastic and the scene where he was just strolling out of the hospital blowing bits of it up was one of those scenes that will be remembered for some time to come.

Without doubt in my top two films of the year and I've never been a fan of the Batman films. Only film so far that tops it is Adulthood, and it would take something pretty special to beat that tbh..

Definately going to see this later now ^_^ Everyone has really bigged it up as a must see. Therefore i must see.

3 hours though? Extra popcorn and nacho's needed obv.

Gotta say I really really enjoyed it. I do think it has maybe been over-hyped a little though. I already had huge expectaions for the film, but the when all the critics started orgasaming over it, I thought it would be amazing, which it was, but it wasn't absolutely top notch. I thought Heath Ledger was terrific in it though, he stole every scene he was in and you just thought of him who was some sort of physcotic weirdo, and the fact that when you find out his motives and what he lives for, it makes him even more of a menace. I thought he was better than Jack Nicholson, but it's VERY hard to compare to two, as they both have COMPLETELY different roles and motives as the Joker.

Didn't get Cillian Murphy's cameo though? Just seemed all a bit pointless to me. Loved William Fitchner's cameo as the bank manager though. There was kind of too many good actors in it I thought too, and loads of them didn't get enough screen time as the film was really dedicated to Harvey Dent, Batman and The Joker, so loads of the characters got over-shadowed.

The next Batman film should be excellent too... gotta say I loved the ending. Completely different to say a Spiderman's film ending.

Loved the disappearing pencil trick.

:heehee: it is quite good isnt it?

Even with all the good reviews I didn't expect it to be quite as good as it was. It's a million times better than Batman Begins and is without doubt the best film this year that I've seen. 10/10!
saw it today, lived up to the hype, only bad thing is i think Two Face was wasted, they should of saved him for the sequel, Heath obvioulsy amazing, and some really ace scenes, like the dissapering pencil bit.

well i wished i hadn't read the reviews prior to seeing the film that said he sounded like Patty Bouvier from the Simpsons...as for the Joker - kept imagining him played by Frankie Howard  (tho tbh that portrayal of the joker actually reminded of another character but i cant think of now...)

Yeah i thought too as i thought it was gonna set him up for a bigger role next time (tho you never know do you???) and the film was really about Dent and the journey into Two Face, which I guess would have happened at the end....as the cliffhanger....lining two face up for the threequel

Yeah I agree with you there - i was kinda disappointed by it as well tbh...and yeah think this is due to the hype thats all around it and with loads of people getting caught up in the hype (fans or reviewers) and saying like its the best film ever made....yeah its good, im not disputing that and within its genre maybe it is the best but unlike everyone on imdb i wouldnt go as far as saying its the best film ever - not quite 5 stars...(and imo not as good as No Country For Old Men - which would be my personal fave tho yeah NCFOM did have that ending that divided loads of opinion or There Will Be Blood - tho most probs wouldnt want to go thru watching that again and yeah i would probs go for the dark knight as well again as its an easier watch...well unless Mystery Men is on ITV daytime again  )

If Ledger doesn't get a Best Supporting Actor nomination, then I will SERIOUSLY consider bombing the Academy Awards.... It was bad enough that he lost out Best Actor with "Brokeback..." if the same travesty happens again.....Well, there just aint enough words in the English language that could express my disgust.... The clips I've seen of his performance in this film is nothing short of astounding and absolutely blood-freezing at times... Better than Javier Bardem in "No Country For Old Men", better than Daniel Day Lewis for "There Will Be Blood".... And, frankly, he makes Jack Nicholson just look thoroughly LAME....

Totally agree on that point - but i wouldn't say one is better or one is worse as they are both different and so like so hard to compare Nicholson's perf with Ledger rather maybe the right thing to do is compare Nicholson's Joker with Keaton's Betelguese and Ledger's Joker with a character like Anton Chigurh... and think I would rate Chigurh as the better villian over Ledger's Joker...and maybe Jigsaw in the first Saw as well - don't know (the ferry scene reminded me of something i expect someone to do in a Saw-lite film tbh)

- tho obv you wouldnt want to over do the comparisions or could find yourself in the pub argueing over which is the more iconic line - Batman's Ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight? vs There Will Be Blood's Milkshake

- and tbh could be hard to compare the two Burton films with the two new ones as well...

obv the dark knight's cinematography is fantastic - very cool with great shots which have a vibe similar to something like micheal mann's collatoral...and i guess Burton's films looked fantastic when they were first released in 1989/92...but film technologies changes and those Burton films dont look too great now when they've been shown on film4 for the billionth time (like many other films from that period - they are v dated) but maybe they might turn out to be the better films as they are the more enjoyable films when in that kinda endless re-run situation? Hard to say - its too early, tho my mate seen it twice already....but he has been going on about it for weeks....tho tbh i was more impressed that they had had Gomez from the Addams Family as the Riddler on BBC Four

I can't really add anything else to this thread as everyone has pretty much done it justice. Amazing film and Heath was spectacular as expected ^_^

My second fave film of the year behind "The Orphanage".

AMAZING FILM.

Heath Ledger is the best actor ever...seriously I didn't think he could top what he did with 'Brokeback Mountain' but this was phenomenal. He played the Joker in a way that was funny, but it was funny because he was f***ing psychotic. Christian Bale was also spectacular. I loved how the movie didn't follow basic guidelines, for instance Mthe girl died instead of two face...was not expecting that at all. The ending was great, just completely flawless. My favorite part would have to be between Heath being dressed in the nurse costume and that whole scene or when he comes in and does the pencil trick. Also loved the beginning.

Genius.

I didn't mind his voice, thought it added to the mystery...but LMFAO.
