Posted June 16, 200817 yr I was watching 'Kidulthood' on BBC3 not long ago and Adulthood is being rleeased this week, are any of you guys going to watch it? I have to say 'Kidulthood' although very very very very Chavvy, was a brilliant film. It felt so real and captured you in. I am going to see this but not straight away as I cant be dealing with Chavvy littl $h!ts in the screen talking on their phones and screaming, "Bluh bluh!!"
June 16, 200817 yr haha i watched Kidulthood the other night on BBC3 too, i think is a really good film but i think Adulthood looks a bit like a $h!tty lame uneeded sequel.
June 16, 200817 yr Kidulthood is one of my best flims ever i love it!!!! and ill defo be watching Adulthood!!!!
June 16, 200817 yr "Kidulthood" was a fantastic film.. A blast of fresh air in a UK film industry dominated by chocolate box "rom-com" tripe from the likes of Richard fukkin' Curtis, Mockney Geeeezaahhhhhh Guy Richie bollocks and frankly boring upper/middle class rubbish "heritage" pictures.... "Kidulthood" was one of the more fearless Brit films, along with the feral likes of "Bullet Boy" and "Sugarhouse", and also "This Is England", not afraid to tackle issues head on, real voices from the streets wanting to be heard, and having something to actually say... I will almost certainly be going to see "Adulthood", potentially the best Brit film of the year, and probably one of the year's best films overall going by the first film....

Yeah "This Is England" was a good - but didnt bother watching "Kidulthood" when it came on BBC Three because my brother had watched it an said it was a bit too try-hard in all the bwad bwoy blad-gangsta-ness of it all - tho seeing as he is into all his American hip-hop maybe it was far to English for him  - tho i guess he will be pleased to see Danny Dyer in the follow up if he goes....
June 20, 200817 yr Yeah "This Is England" was a good - but didnt bother watching "Kidulthood" when it came on BBC Three because my brother had watched it an said it was a bit too try-hard in all the bwad bwoy blad-gangsta-ness of it all - Thing is though, this is how a lot of these kids talk in these areas of London, that pretty much is the sort of attitude they have ... They're mostly a bunch of silly sods who've seen far too many American hip hop videos and listen to w/ankers like Tim Westwood.... So, it's not really an unrealistic interpretation....
June 20, 200817 yr gets one star out of five in the paper!!!... ...however as this is te daily mail - this might be a good omen (paper came with free dvd - mum said there were no copies of the independent at the shop)
June 20, 200817 yr I'm going to see this next week. Look's brilliant. Kidulthood is one of my fave films ever, so I hope this lives up to it.
June 20, 200817 yr Author This doesnt look as good as Kidulthood but doesnt look all that bad either! Im going to see this tomorrow after my shift B) Oh and we've got security IN the screen with us so that if anyone does start then they will take care of them!
June 21, 200817 yr gets one star out of five in the paper!!!... ...however as this is te daily mail - this might be a good omen (paper came with free dvd - mum said there were no copies of the independent at the shop) If the "Daily Fascist" slags it off, it means it's a good film usually.....
June 21, 200817 yr Thing is though, this is how a lot of these kids talk in these areas of London, that pretty much is the sort of attitude they have ... They're mostly a bunch of silly sods who've seen far too many American hip hop videos and listen to w/ankers like Tim Westwood.... So, it's not really an unrealistic interpretation.... Don't get me started on that cock!! <_< Kidulthood was a brilliant movie, I don't know how this will shape up to be, but I'll obviously check it out.
June 22, 200817 yr Author This film has bought Nothing but hell for me and my colleagues :drama: We've had threats, verbal abuse and even physical (Although that one was not directly to us but to other customers) All because they didnt have ID  A Fight literally broke out in the foyer of my work place :( Police had to be called and everything. I dont even feel safe working now :(

So, it's not really an unrealistic interpretation.... i wouldnt even say not really. It is 100% how they act. I say they cos i dont act like that nor do i speak like that :puke: ive lost count how many times ive had to say "in english please..." in the past 5 years  i LOVED KiDULTHOOD. I thought it was brilliantly put together and well acted out ^_^ it wasnt anything like i expected it to be. AdULTHOOD i have yet to judge. Might go watch when i can gather up a few people. Worst comes ill have to do with a pirate :(

I dont even feel safe working now :( Great.. <_< Well, if Chav arseholes are invading cinemas like a pestillant plague (and more likely completely missing the message of the film...) and acting out like a bunch of fukkin' r/etards, I think I'll be downloading this one...... I like to support young directors and their fledgling efforts, but not at the expense of having to put up with a cinema full of scum who dont get the point of the film and more than likely will talk and shout all the way through the damn thing.....
June 24, 200817 yr Author I went to see it today... whilst feeling awkward in the screen... The film itself was actually good but not as good as Kidulthood the acting in some places was a bit... bleh but it was watchable!
June 24, 200817 yr If the "Daily Fascist" slags it off, it means it's a good film usually..... Anthony Quinn gave it one as well in the Independent
June 24, 200817 yr Great.. <_< Well, if Chav arseholes are invading cinemas like a pestillant plague (and more likely completely missing the message of the film...) and acting out like a bunch of fukkin' r/etards, I think I'll be downloading this one...... Yeah they are unfortunately :( When i went to the pre-enrolment everyone was talking bout AdULTHOOD but the only thing on their minds was all the fight scenes  I was like oh god... im gonna be spending the next two years with such incompetant t**** <_< Sadly i think ill be downloading this film too
June 27, 200817 yr Absolutely amazing film. Without doubt my favourite film of the year. Noel Clarke was fantastic and played his role very well, and the end scene was very gripping too. I can't really say much more without giving away anything. Five stars from Cass (Y)
June 30, 200817 yr Watched this last night... On pirate mind. And i LOVED it, the directing was brilliant and the writing was BEAUTIFULLY written. Once again portrays the "chav" culture spot on. Acting was incredible and i havent seen such performances in ages! Am i the only one that noticed a mini-Doctor Who reunion going on  Somehow i feel its a step up from the first and i absolutely loved it. Danny Dyer is a legend  (i actually live a few stops away from where he was brought up and still lives from what ive heard of..)
June 30, 200817 yr Danny Dyer is my hero without doubt. Even his brief cameo was amazement <3 He should've been given more air-time although I don't get where they could've gone with it tbh..
