I'll do a few searches myself.

Emmy The Great did do backing on the original release of this song - Five Years Time - last September:

I do remember the song being mentioned in a blog some time ago, which is why I was surprised that it had only just been released, but it would seem this is the second time around for the song.

The album is absolutely brilliant  "Second Lover" is deffo the standout for me.

They deserve to do well, hopefully the single continues to climb iTunes.

You really haven't tried very hard then :(

Brilliant album, brilliant band, need I say more?

'in 5 years time' sounds very similar to a track from 1968 by the moody blues... 'ride my see-saw'.

but i like it.

Weirdly  I have that song "Ride My See-Saw" and it sounds nothing like 5 Years Time at all, especially as the Moody Blues song has a lot of electric guitar, small solos compared to NATW's use of a banjo...

Ride My See-Saw is still a good song, mind.

This sounds so much better when I hear it on the radio, not accompanied by that video.

I really don't like the video, it's sooo cheap and looks like some tacky advert.

brilliant, I hardly ever like songs from this genre but 5 Years Time is instantly brilliant

I do love Laura Marling

I'm not really sure why so many people are surprised at its success. Radio 1 playlisted, Radio 2 playlisted... I even heard it on Virgin Radio earlier!

perhaps its just because songs from the same genre have been flopping all year despite similar levels of radio support

Love the song! And the video to.

tho i guess it could join the hoosiers, the feeling and scouting for girls in the bloody annoying genre if it becomes too omnipresent on the playlist skeds of the land - but at this moment with its popularity ascending im liking it....get back to me in 4 months  than i might be sick to death of it

Even if I do get sick to death of it it'll still always remain a good song. Whereas stuff like The Hoosiers are just always $h!te...

nah even the hoosiers records were good tunes once....
