After hearing those news Celine officially replied: "I am afraid that I won't be participating"

The point is that it's the same song. I don't know the Eurovision rules but surely they wouldn't let someone come back next year singing a cover of 'Secret Combination' or 'Casanova'? I don't know if we share the same set of rules though.

Right, I've come to a decision. Covers are allowed, but not covers of songs that have already been in the contest - otherwise somebody could just end up milking the fans of the same song month in, month out.

it is? :o I thought it's the song that 'deserves to be a massive hit but ends up with #10000 in the oficial chart blah' :heehee:

Still there's a week at least to decide

It's VERY well known as Hallelujah is like, the anthem for someone dying on all American shows :heehee:

Not Feeling The Radio Star

Covers are allowed, but not covers of songs that have already been in the contest. Hitanya's entry to BuzzJack Song Contest 7 was The Buggles with Video Killed The Radio Star, therefore The Feeling will never be allowed to perform Video Killed The Radio Star. In an interview with Dan Gillespie-Sells he said "It's not a problem, we will stay loyal to the Juranamese people and perform another song instead, we haven't decided entirely yet but it will most likely be Won't Go Away or Join With Us". Juranexpress can confirm that the song choice has been confirmed as Won't Go Away.

Duffy will not be performing Tomorrow

Duffy has announced in a press interview that she does not want to represent Juranabaijan in the 8th BuzzJack Song Contest. She says "I'm sure Juranabaijan and its people are lovely people and all that, but my music does not really suit Juranabaijan at all. My biggest hit over there has been Mercy, and it only hit #2. Everywhere else in the BuzzJack world it got to #1 so i will suit they're countries more. Sorry." In response, Mayor Juranamo has tried to reach an agreement with Duffy's rival Adele to represent Juranabaijan but nothing has materialised. So Juranabaijan have now resorted to The 411. They will be performing their song 'Dumb' which was #2 hit in Juranabaijan back in 2003.

Confirmed National Final Line Up

The 411 - Dumb

Feeder - Tracing Lines

The Feeling - Won't Go Away

Orson - Radio

The Script - Fall For Anything

:heehee: Yeah, no one will buy on it, $h!t

Can I request a Temporary Confirmation Thread as we had last time?

Loads of countries have gone with national finals and it's pretty difficult to keep on top of who's been chosen so far

Mutya Buena is Confirmed for BJSC8

After the disappointment of failing to qualify for the seventh BuzzJack Song Contest in Quotosibb, the Kingdom of Shadow is looking to throw everything at the next conest to be held in FSR Rontvia. The King of Shadow has announced; "Failing to qualify nearly gave me a heart attack, I'm far too old and have eaten far too many exceedingly good cakes to be doing with all this... I'm therefore happy to announce that I shall be doing all this again for BJSC8 as we look to try and make the top ten in a final for the first time".

His majesty went on to confirm the kingdom's representing artist for the upcoming competition; "Last time round we went through all this hoo-ha with national finals and voting before eventually disregarding all the pariticipating songs in favour of Sophie Ellis-Bextor. This time round we're skipping all that out and I'm returning to the best method possible - deciding myself. Whilst on a state visit to Ashton yesterday, I stumbled across Mutya Buena, formerly of the Sugar-babies, who had been left on the streets unchosen since the third contest. 'This is simply not on!' I thought to myself and so I can confirm Ms Buena shall be representing our fine nation in the eigth contest".

When asked about the song Mutya would be singing the King seemed quite guarded; "You want me to choose a song too!? Errr.... hmm, well we definately know which song she shall be singing in the competition but have chosen not to reveal it until nearer the time".

Keep an eye on the Kingdom of Shadow Thread for more.

Ashton aren't going to be keen on an ex-Sugababe being used at all! :heehee:

That's what I thought, they're particularly protective of their past representatives.

How do you make a youtube video???

It depends what you mean by a youtube video?

If you mean just uploading one then you create an account, and press the big yellow 'Upload' button

But I'm sure you mean make the music video itself. First of all you need Windows Movie Maker (MM) (just for a simpe video) and an MP3 of the song.

Open MM, and drag the MP3 file into the the work area.

Next, drag the sound file onto the timeline at the bottom of the page.

When you press play, the song should start immediately and play through to the end.

In order to create an image to go over the song, click 'Titles and Credits', then 'Title on the Selected Clip'.

You will now have a small text box in which you can write the Song Title and Artist or whatever you wish.

You can edit the background colour, font type, font size etc by clicking 'Change the text font and colour'

Or you can edit what the title does by clicking 'Change the title animation'

Once you're done editing click 'Add title'

On the timeline your 'Title Overlay' will now appear. You can stretch this new item by dragging one of the edges.

Do this to make it the same length as the song.

Click 'Play', to make sure it is as you wish.

To export the video go to 'File' then 'Publish Movie'

Select 'This Computer' then enter an appropriate file name and location to save it.

Choose 'Best Quality for playback on MY computer' and press 'Publish'

Wait a few moments and you now have a video for youtube :yahoo:

You can do more complicated things, like create an all new music video as I did for Sophie's song in the last conest but I cant be bothered to explain how right now

Ashton aren't going to be keen on an ex-Sugababe being used at all! :heehee:

They should be pleased I rescued her from the squalid (is that a word?) conditions they were keeping her in :P

:o We coulda shoulda and woulda win anyway :P :kink:

"ČEK" - isn't it the Turkish word?

Cek is just used because it comes from the adjectival form of Kopecka - Kopecek, and sounds like check, and can be used for a gossip mag :heehee:
