ČEKB!TCH - Ček the gossip, ček the b!tches // Kopeček votes in BJSC V leaked!

After months of speculation and controversy over the crashed voting system within Kopečka in the 5th contest, which incurred Elena Paparizou a 20% deduction, robbing her of Kopečka's third best result (4th place), the Kopeček BJSC Committee finally released the final televote last night after a long wait of nearly three months. The Kopeček vote went as follows:

12 - United States of Russiatron [M.I.A. - Paper Planes]

10 - Eledan [TATU - Gomenasai]

8 - Mdiče [utada - Exodus '04]

7 - Cascadia [bWO - Temple of Love]

6 - Triodopolis [Kate Voegele - Only Fooling Myself]

5 - FSR Rontvia [sibel Redzep - Make Believe]

4 - Bhangra [The Revelations - If I Called You On The Telephone]

3 - Utopia [Operator Please - Just A Song About Ping Pong]

2 - Rivandia [Yelle - A Cause Des Garçons]

1 - Frahliso [Lauren Rose - Hava Nagila (Baby Let's Dance)]

The end result would therefore have gone as follows:

1. Eledan 124 Points

2. Cascadia 89 Points

3. FSR Farahtyn 77 Points

4. Kopečka 75 Points

5. United States of Russiatron 73 Points

9. FSR Rontvia 69 Points

10. Angelic Land 66 Points

11. Bokia 59 Points

12. Allecian 57 Points

13. Utopia 50 Points

14. Rivandia 46 Points

Vote for your favourites in the final of the 2nd Sangfest!

The five finalists has been announced, here they are:

01 Fabrizio Faniello: I'm In Love (The Whistle Hit)

02 Sunrise Avenue: Forever Yours

03 Tata Young: I Believe

04 Alex Party: Don't Give Me Your Life

05 Hi-5: Ksero Ti Zitao

Listen to them, then PM me your top 3. The first gets 6 points, the second gets 4 points and the third gets 2 points. Then the Sangrian televotes will be added to the international vote.

You can vote from now till the 2nd of July 0:00 AM...then we will find out who will represent Sangria at the 8th BJSC :cheer:

Does nobody else think it could be considered cheating to get other users to vote in your national final??

I mean, I understand why people do it but I don't think it should be allowed.

I don't think so...in a national final you can vote for the song which you like the most from those 3/4/5/...etc. songs...but that song maybe will not get any points from you in the contest because there will be more songs to choose from. So i think if someone votes in your NF it doesn't guarantee that he will vote for your entry in the contest too...IMO

I wouldn't do it myself...I prefer to have the final say over what I send

It's not really cheating...as has been said, it just gives an idea of the best entry, it's not necessarily going to get voted for!

it's all personal taste though at the end of the day...behind Love Song, I believe that the best song I've sent was Delta's Believe Again in the first contest...

but that was a view shared by barely anyone, as it stumbled in 18th :(

Lucky Star for Constarvan?

Carola and Andreas premiered their single "Lucky Star" at an awards ceremony in Herzebania last night. In a brief interview with the couple after the show, Carola revealed, "Yes, it probably will be the song we sing. I love it and it is such a beautiful song, so we will be singing it in FSR Rontvania."

Andreas commented, "well it isn't completely certain yet, we still need to discuss all the options."

"I know that," followed Carola, "but it probably will be Lucky Star"

"Well that's no guarantee," Andreas told us. "We'll keep you posted."

"And I would like to say thank you for all the love everybody has given us since we announced we would be competing in this wonderful competition," said Carola.

Below is the debut performance of the song, "Lucky Star"

As for me i never (almost - tatu) take the choice of most of you people as my representative for the conest :o

that's why i flop since tatu won BJSC5

with a week to go until the official confirmation thread for BJSC8 opens, the Rontvian TV network have announced that two of the songs have been knocked out of contention as Rontvia's 8th contest entry. West End Girls and Missy Higgins are now available for other countries to select, here are the two songs that the internal Rontvian jury have chosen for the final two. One of these songs will be selected very soon and will aim to be the 6th straight top ten finish for FSR Rontvia, BJSC's 2nd most successful country to date, behind Mdice:

1. Multicyde - Not For The Dough

2. Aurora - The Day It Rained Forever

having chosen 'safe' entries for a number of contests in a row (i.e. female pop songs), Rontvia has decided to take a risk this time around...British dance act Aurora's The Day It Rained Forever is a folk-pop-trance hybrid, while Norwegian trio Mylticyde's Not For The Dough is a pop-rap crossover...
