But Mart!n confirmed an artist he couldn't use at the time, so that kind of nullifies his choice and he would have resorted to Kelly. You can't really say Jack could use Kelly because Mart!n chose Ace Of Base when Mart!n wasn't allowed to use them at the time. That screws Mart!n out of both artists it's like "you can't use artist B because you picked artist A. Oh and by the way you can't use artist A because someone else is using them. Now you can't use artist A or B."

If anything, that would be an appropriate incentive to checking that the artists you're putting forward haven't been openly put in contention yet :P

Yes, in fact I only know of the song thanks to Xylem's Norwegian chart thread! It has such a great melody, I instantly adored it when I first heard it and just knew I has to enter it. The animated video is fantastic too although I haven't used that vid in my confirmation link as it cuts off the first 15 seconds of the song, so I uploaded my own video with the full audio track as imo the intro makes the track! Apparently it samples an old Norwegian animated film theme tune; Pinchliffe grand prix, which I've never heard of!

Have fancy complex national finals if you want, but if somebody else "steals" one of your NF acts then tough luck.

 

Let's face it, national finals aren't nescessary. They make it more interesting, but they really shouldn't be such a big part that they prevent others from using certain artists.
