I hope we get loads of leaks from the JT era. I don't like Demonstrate really so I'm not as pumped for the record as I was before.

The connection is Michelle Branch's latest projects also keep on getting delayed/postponed/cancelled/amazing single which flops/ etc...

In fact, Meech's music career seems to be so far gone she's resorted to this!

Michelle Branch hasn't been allowed to release an album since 2003! Two scraped projects (that we know of!)

It's not that JoJo 'hasnt been allowed' release an album since 2006. When All I Want Is Everything was ready, Blackground didn't have a distributor and when they did, JoJo changed the direction to Jumping Trains which Blackground messed around with massively. They've since gained a new distributor and JoJo changing the direction of the album again...

Come on, it would've been out last year if Disaster had shaped up to be a hit. They clearly got cold feet.

 

I don't see why they don't just put it out. If it flops, would it really matter?!

I'm with Jark, their not gonna waste money releasing an album if they don't think they'll even break even. And they tried, Jojo released a track very similar to "Too Little Too Late" and it went under the radar.

Oh no I completely agree, I still think The Other Chick was a missed opportunity. But changing the sound of the album has been down to JoJo. Blackground have always seen her as a pop artist but she's heading more into R&B. They need to change their strategy for releasing first singles. It just about worked in 2006 but in 2012....

So she's working on another mixtape...

Blackground lost their distribution deal with Interscope and according to Jo's tweets, it's no longer a functioning label. No money, no employees, nada. But because she's being held under a contract there's not much she can do other than sue their arse for keeping her from releasing music which at the moment seems to be the only ground she has. It's just all getting a bit ridiculous now. I mean Frankmusik managed to get his latest single out there and released 'properly' but Blackground just fail with their lives.

She's releasing a new song from the Mixtape 'Agape' tonight. I believe the mixtape is out December 20th.

It's nothing to do with her not getting 'hits'. Nothings being released, Blackground are broke and all their artists are screwed (as of now).

 

Looks like her Mom is to blame though. LOL.
