Former Beautiful South frontman Paul Heaton will debut in or around the Top 20 with his W14/Universal solo debut The Cross-Eyed Rambler, while other new albums potentially lined up to enter the 40 include sets from Stone Gods, whose line-up includes former members of The Darkness and who have their self-titled own label, Cooperative Music’s Alkaline Trio and Domino’s Tricky.

Pity 'Council Estate' didn't follow Portishead's Machine Gun into the lower reaches of the top 75 - but will be good to have Tricky back in the UK top 75 albums chart...esp since his last - Vulnerable didnt really do much and this Domino release is supposed to be much much better

'Knowle West Boy' is the eighth studio album by maverick artist Tricky. Named after his place of birth (Knowle West), the album is a personal rediscovery of sounds and influences. Mixing hip hop, punk, reggae and rock with his own inimitable style, results in a broad yet intense record. Includes the single 'Council Estate'.

Beginning as a member of the Massive Attack collective, Tricky released his own major claim to greatness, MAXINQUAYE, in 1995. The down-tempo grooves, husky rapping, and general air of menace all became hallmarks of the genre known as trip-hop, but Tricky's reworking of Public Enemy's "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos" showed that beneath the hypnotic beats lay danger. In the wake of his debut's overwhelming success, Tricky has taken pains not to repeat himself or court stardom. Thus, his post-MAXINQUAYE output has been increasingly dark, atmospheric, and almost wilfully demanding of listeners.

Not often there is an album named after the district up the road from me :P

I bought this the other day, and from a qucik listen, I think its his most accessible material since the classic Maxinquaye.

maybe not as albums over-all but think a lot of post-Maxinquaye singles are as accessible as all the 'big' trip-hop hits
