I'd like to see only the WINNER qualifying, like when I hosted it. I thought that's the way we were doing it from now on and last month was only because the host was the 3rd placed FSR Rontvia. But it's not really my call, I'd just like to see the minimum amount of countries auto-qualifying now there are so many people wanting to take part.

I would say the winner getting a bye to the final, along with possibly the 2nd placed song.

Definitely. Only the winner should autoqualify, and if numbers don't allow for an even split then only first and second. So with things as they are, I would think only Nonsuch should autoqualify, with 20 in each semi-final and 12/13 qualifiers from each, seeing as we've got 27 as a standard number now :cheer: If we get 42, then things as they were before but the USJ get autoqualification too ^_^ But yes, again, it's your call Rich :lol:

I don't like idea with 27 countries in the final. First idea was the best (with 24/25 countries)

Actually I do prefer the old way, I totally agree just the winner, or the top 3 automatically qualifies.

No one left to confirm, unless someone out of the blue announces an entry at the death.

 

44 Entries. Therefore if no more entries:

 

Nonsuch (BJSC8 winner/BJSC9 host) & United States of Jack (BJSC8 runner up) will receive a bye into the Final. Both countries will be drawn to be eligible to vote in a separate designated Semi Final.

 

The remaining 42 countries will be split into two Semi Finals of 21 countries, where the Top 12 in each Semi Final will reach the Final of 26 countries.

a final of 26 is better than 27, hopefully next month we can bring it down to 25...I should have done 25 last month in hindsight with only 11 going through from each semi

Even if Disturbia would be a bit of a cheap entry, I'd still give it a 12 because I love and adore it. :wub: And I really don't consider it any more 'cheap' than So What or GWB, honestly...both of which I love (and I would have given GWB high points had I been in BJSC8).

I think I know what song I'm going to send to Bjsc X, It seems a tad risky as It's in another language (Russian) and I'm not sure if it will have the same success as Serebro or T.a.T.u had......but I think I'm being too safe with my song choices........

 

I might select two other songs to display and see what people think but I really feel as if I should try this Russian song.
