Posted above ;)

Edit - I've just noticed that this thread was for huge falls out of the top 10

Garbages Shut Your Mouth had a huge fall. It charted at #20 but it had fallen completely from the top 75 by the second week. It was a limited release though.

Feeder - Tumble And Fall: {5}-25-40-49-67->5

How ironic!

9. Embrace - My Weakness Is None Of Your Business

One of my all-time faves!

What about:

Shut Up And Dance - I'm ravin'

Elvis - One Night / I got stung

Feeder - Tumble And Fall: {5}-25-40-49-67->5

How ironic!

In all honesty, and I really mean this.

Tumble and Fall was a really bad choice for single, let alone the first from the album. It had a really sluggish pace to it, and the annoying "Yeah, yeah, yeah!" hook really made it worse. In the live version Grant sort of left that bit out, and sung it in a different voice and added "tumble and fall!" into it and blended it up. You can see he didn't really like that part of the song.

Despite being one of their biggest hits, it's given a very negative response by fans, and has been dropped by live setlists on a pernament basis. The record label later regretted putting this out as the first single, and like the band heavilly believe that "Feeling a Moment" would have done much better and given the album a much better push. a friend of mine who LOVES feeder as much as myself, don't like "Tumble and Fall", it's the only Feeder song he disapproves of like myself, and every Feeder gig he didn't go on, they dropped it. It was like they played it especially for him!. He went to see them with me and my mates in Brighton, and didn't play it :).

The same problem has happened with "We Are The People", many fans think this is not album launch material at all. Whoever decides what to pick first as a single is in the wrong job.

The fan disappoval of Tumble and Fall can see seen in the chart run- it entered at number 5 with the hardcore buying it first regardless what they thought, then the rest of the fanbase didn't care and faded without a trace and forgotten about. The song does not sum up the top notch "Pushing the Senses" album at all.

So there ya go, despite someone trying to wind me up cos I like Feeder, I actually responded with a different reply.

At least one good thing came out of the single- it's b-side "Shatter" overshadowed it, and is a pernament live fave, unlike the A side!.

I know someone would mention the abysmal chart run of Feeder's only bad song at some point in this thread.
