Album will be #1- no doubt about that.

Single will be about #3, #4 or #5.

I just wondered what makes you so sure about the album? I hope you're right though :D

Album probably #1 or #2. Single #3. Dont think it will get #1 due to the competition and the song doesn't sound like a sure fire #1 to me.
Have heard James Morrison's new single now, I don't think it's #1 single material, but it's much like his first album sound, so who knows. Will be very close between the two of them for the #1 album spot... not that it matters really of course at the end of the day, only for bragging rights.

James's song is a huge disappointment :( maybe it's a grower? Still he's getting radio 1s backing. Will no longer exists as far as that station is concerned :???:

What else is the single being released against?

McFly!

Well, Kate Perry should still be in the frame and of course there's McFly :)

I think he'll be up against

McFly for downloads and the following week, James and Will go head to head with physical releases.

I heard James Morrison's song this morning. It sounded *yawn*.

I like Will's song.

Yep, I heard it too, and it is very underwhelming on first listen, unlike Will's single.

I too agree about the James Morrison song. It's a lot weaker than Will's and I can see Will easily outperforming it however I still don't think either of them will get to #1.

The album front will be a totally different story though.

It's great that so many big names are coming back even if I'm not a huge fan of all of them, it makes for a strong end to a rather weak year.

Dont forget Travis, their new stuff is really good this time and the single and album are out the same time, I do like Will's the most though

and I'd say if I thought the others were better, Kate Perry will probably do 12 weeks at no1.

Number one for the album. I voted Top 5 for Changes, but thinking about it I can't imagine it charting lower than #3.

I think 'nice' pretty much sums up the song though. It's nothing overly special, and it's VERY safe, but neither is it going to offend anybody or provoke severe reactions. It's a nice, mellow-ish sort of MOR song which will appeal to a fair mass of people but won't be seen as a career highlight or even close.

A fair assessment tbh - although I do think its one of his best songs now.

I like the song - great production and good vocals from Will. It's a good song and a safe choice, hopefully there are more exciting tracks on the album. It is fairly MOR and a bit too similar in parts to other songs including 'Leave Right Now' and 'Chasing Pavements', I also think the song fizzles out a bit - it starts really well, but the chorus comes in too early and it doesn't go anywhere at the end.

As for the charts, as others have said it depends on the competition, but I would think album easily Top 3, single somewhere around 4 or 5.

He has a large fanbase , the album will defintly do good as it's being realised near the end of the year.
