Posted August 7, 200816 yr There are very strong rumours going around now that Hilary Duff will be leaving hollywood records and to end her 5 album contract will release a best of to end her time with the record company. With a new album on a new lable to follow in 2009. If this is true, i think this will be the end of Hilary in music as it will be her 2nd compliation of hits in 6 albums, and 2 of her last 3 albums. Personaly if i was hilary I would just try and have the contract terminated and release a full album on a new label. The Best Of, like most greatest hits will include a couple of new songs.
August 7, 200816 yr Yep, it's true and it's a shambles. The GH will come out on September 23rd or 30th in the US, but Reach Out doesn't even have a radio impact date, just 'sometime in August'. What a sham. Her label don't give a rats ass about her, which is disgusting given that Dignity was perfect pop.

August 7, 200816 yr Sounds like a sham to me though 'Most Wanted' was a sort of Greatest Hits album wasn't it? :unsure: [i own that :blush:]. I can't see her having many more tracks to add since then.
August 7, 200816 yr Most Wanted was more of a compilation album than Greatest Hits. She said it herself. And the tracks on it were remixes and not the original.

Considering she has given Hollywood records 3 platinum albums and some successful tours they go out of their way to not market and promote her. She needs to move on! August 7, 200816 yr Well "Coming Clean" was a hit. Along with So Yesterday. Not major hits but they both charted in the top half of the Hot 100.

She may release it over here but her main market is america. And although she hasnt had many hit singles she has sold millions of albums in that country, America. Which mainly meens she isnt a favourite on radio stations over there
August 7, 200816 yr Author Dignity was ruined by Hollywood :cry: her whole career after her self tittled 2nd album was a bit ruined by hollywood. the only place most wanted was needed was places where metamorphosis flopped and hilary duff wasn't released. so the UK. The only good thing about this is gonna be hopfuly on a new record lable hilary might get treated with some respect.

I like Hilary and Dignity was one of my favourite albums of last year, but the fact is she's very untalented and that's something that is widely recognised, so she's doomed sadly. :(

Nobody thought she would be on as many albums as she is now. And although "Dignity" did not set the charts alight, it was hardly a flop. Plus she is one of those young artists that is so hands on with her carreer. She has co wrote since her second album and is tagged as exec producer on her music. So we know she was very involved in her musical output. But if talent meens she can belt out a tearfull balad and challange a Britney when she could dance is up to the individual. Hilary comes accross as being pretty smart when it comes to her own career. I count that as talent.

Well, I'm sorry... but that's very rude. I can admit she's not the most talented person in the world, but she is far from very untalented. Like someone has said, she co-writes. Infact, she co-wrote all but 1 song from Dignity and she doesn't excessively use technology to make her voice better. Plus, what you said about her never being huge... You don't have to be mega talented to have a huge hit/album. If the song is great, it'll take you places. Hilary Duff is a known name, with a fantastic song, she could be massive.
