Little Jackie, and Alphabeat take downloads alone into the 50, too. Solange squeezes in at 43. Santogold get top 60..Other entries to the top 75 are:The Cure, The Music, The Delays, and The Ryes..all by the skin of their teeth, too! The Verve take the physical number one today. As downloads, are against some of the others i.e. Bloc Party. To end, back to Radio Luxembourg in August 1986 (when there was no such thing, as a boring old chart)!! 01 11 Anyone Can Fall In Love - Anita Dobson 02 01 I Want To Wake Up With You - Boris Gardner 03 07 Ain`t Nothing Going On But The Rent - Gwen Guthrie 04 08 Shout 86 - Lulu 05 06 Panic - Smiths 06 03 Lady In Red - Chris De Burgh 07 09 Calling All The Heroes - It Bites 08 02 So Macho/Cruising - Sinitta 09 21 I Can Prove It - Phil Fearon 10 29 Breaking Away - Jaki Graham 11 05 Camouflage - Stan Ridgeway 12 13 Red Sky - Status Quo 13 19 Dancing On The Ceiling - Lionel Richie 14 04 Find The Time - Five Star 15 ne Girls And Boys - Prince 16 ne Can You Feel The Force 86 - Real Thing 17 25 Oh People - Patti Labelle 18 18 Press - Paul McCartney 19 12 Papa Don`t Preach - Madonna 20 ne Burn - Dr And The Medics 21 ne Human - Human League 22 ne When I Think Of You - Janet Jackson 23 28 The Way It Is - Bruce Hornsby 24 ne A Question Of Time - Depeche Mode 25 ne We Don`t Have To.. - Jermaine Stewart 26 10 Fight For Ourselves - Spandau Ballet 27 27 Dreamtime - Daryl Hall 28 14 What`s The Colour Of Money - Hollywood Beyond 29 ne Glory Of Love - Peter Cetera 30 15 Let`s Go All The Way - Sly Fox Radio Luxembourg had 8 in the top 10, 15 in the 20, and 26 in the top 30, in 1986. But in saying that, they actually had Boris Gardner at number 1..2 weeks before Radio One! :o In 1986, we actually had a good Summer..apart from the late August Bank Holiday Monday, when it absolutely chucked it down, from mid-morning onwards. I especially remember it, because my Cousin was (at the time), working at Capital Radio. This was one of those week`s when the Late, Great Alan Freeman was sitting in for David Jensen (on the Network Chart, playing Prince`s new hit, before anyone else). I recall a lot of moaning about Radio One, that week..Tommy Vance also sat in, for Bruno Brookes. Bruno usually played about 30/31 records on the Sunday Chart show, over at Radio 1. When Tommy sat in..he only played 28! Alan Freeman (on the other side), managed to get 30 into 2 hours, and had 5 commercial breaks! Sounds a bit familiar, ay! :) Anita Dobson gave us the words to the Eastenders theme..while the Coronation Street theme was pretty much "It` s Coronation Street, It`s Coronation Street..It`s Coro...Nation...Stree eee eee eeeet!" Well that`s what a young Gary Wilmot (comedian) said! Camouflage and Stan Ridgeway, would fit well on the "Story Songs" new compilation (the story of a man saved during a war, by a ghostly figure named "Camouflage". What`s The Colour Of Money was a film in 1986..but the song was just a coincidence. So popular was Lulu`s rerecording of "Shout", that the original 1964 recording was also, put out against it..The original actually sold better in `86, than the new version! What does Daryl Hall do in his spare time, these days? Well, he invites other stars round, and interviews them at his house! How about that for a hobby!! Don`t forget Mart!n`s Mids tomorrow..and we might find out, why he is calling himself "Heather", at the moment. Is it because a lady came up to him the other day, and said "Would you like to buy some lucky heather?"...Hopefully he replied "Only lucky for you, and your bank balance you mean!"

August 11, 200816 yr Author Its a Heather Trott Aprreciation Society :smoke: from Eastenders :cheer: Oh that fat woman! Made me think of the joke..Man walking into butchers, says "Have you got pigs trotters". "No", says the butcher "It`s just the way I walk!"
August 11, 200816 yr I think all of the shops are underestimating Noah & The Whale's album...it will surely go top 3 :o
August 11, 200816 yr Im glad The Script are likely to get the number 1 album this week as it is seriously good
August 11, 200816 yr I think all of the shops are underestimating Noah & The Whale's album...it will surely go top 3 :o Yes, I see this at #3 too. It should do 25k. It's TV-advertised and is only £6.97 in Woolworths. it also has one of the catchiest hits of the year on it.

I reckon the top 2 albums will be between The Script and Noah & The Whale could be pretty close sales wise. ABBA will definitely go down this week
