We are sorry to announce that ex-Sugababe Siobhan Donaghy has been dropped by her record label Parlophone. The news comes after her last album Ghosts and both of its singles failed to chart well last year. Siobhan’s upcoming plans are currently unknown, but we will keep you posted.

Oh dear. I hope she finds another label. :(

Poor girl, looks like the next album is gonna take a while longer.
I guess it's not a good time for the ex-babes. :(

Well Parlophone weren't exactly going overboard when it came to promotion. Poor Siobhan didn't have any support from the radio or telly either. No wonder she didn't sell anything!

It's a shame :(

So Parlo is going close itself down soon? coz Kylie is leaving as well.

Is this confirmed yet? Rumours seem to have quietened down and no announcement yet (and sorry i know :offtopic: )

Good.

Siobhan should sign to an indie label and keep the 'Ghosts' sound.

As for Parlophone; they're rubbish. There's a few labels out there that actually care about their artists and support & believe in them 100%. Parlophone are not one of them, believe me. Rotten b*stards.

I thought she already began writing for the third CD after she finished 'Rent'?
its such a shame as i love her solo material, hopefully she signs up to a record company who has an interest in promoting her properly

Hmmm, it was to be expected.

EMI are far too mainstream to be able to host Siobhan without wanting her to shift serious units. She needs a nice little indie label where she can release her music without having the pressure piled onto her that she needs to sell X amount to make it to the next single.

I only discovered her music recently but quite like her
I'm gutted for her, but I reckon her music will find a better home at a smaller label. I hope she doesn't give up releasing as what she does is beautiful.
