I know it WAS a free download, but no it's NOT avaliable free anymore and it's avaliable for paid download, is that qualified? Mikal is telling me it's not, if so il just get my tissues out now :cry:

Considering that Coldplay's Violet Hill was chart eligible despite being a free-to-download track to begin with, I'd be surprised if it doesn't apply here. (Plus we all know that Radiohead's last album was pay what you want, and some people paid £0.00 for it.)

Only those that were paid for will count - I think that's pretty obvious. The paid downloads go through a site that contributes to the chart. I assume the free download was from their website and linked to a mailing list sign-up?

Based on the Coldplay situation I suspect that it will still be NCQ this week as it was still available for free until Monday

It will be eligible once it has been avaliable to pay for a whole week (ie Sunday to Sunday).
