Would you like to participate if there was such a contest running?

 

For someone who didn't read other recent replies in topics of this forum or don't know what does it mean: the theme contest is the contest where you have to follow the 'theme' of the contest, e.g.: 'only male artists contest' etc.

It would depend entirely on the theme for me. I'd probably enter 'male only', 'B-side only', 'live performance only' etc. but the thing is, some male, B-Side, live performances etc. could make good NORMAL entries.

Hmm... I think it'd be a bit of a BJSC overload tbh. I mean, we already have one contest a month and that's more than adequate imo.

I think they should be few and far between though...once every two or three contests? And let's not forget that we've got Congratulations in December.

I think the spin-offs should be quite specific though because I assume we don't want songs to be used in the spin-offs and the main contest. It could limit the entries - not that there aren't MILLIONS of songs..

 

I think we should have the 'Congratulations' after the tenth edition, rather than after a year. Actually, I think it depends on the quality of the next contest. If people think the songs from BJSCX are weak, then I think we should have 'Congratulations' after that to give the contest a bit of a break. However, if it's a strong contest I have no problem with it being after the 12th edition.

I completely agree - you can have too much of a good thign and I'd hate to see the contest flop because it was overdone

A Eurovision theme would be quite good actually. I'm still not in favour of having a spin-off contest though - one normal one a month is more than enough.
