As My Mistakes Were Made For You, which will be released on the 20th October. Good choice imo, I just hope it doesn't miss the Top 40.

I think it probably will miss the top 40 tbh :(

I think it's quite a good choice, although I would've preferred Separate and Ever Deadly ^_^

Best song on the album for me, will probabaly flop mind. I doubt we'll get a video for it as well.

I think there'll be a video for it, wouldn't be suprised if maybe it was a live video however.

I'd rather see 'Calm Like You' myself.

great choice cause , imo, its their best track.

an amazing tune.classic songwriting

Excellent choice, great song and either that or Seperate and Ever Deadly would have sufficed ^_^ I just hope it doesn't flop :(

Alex Turner and Miles Kane's band The Last Shadow Puppets have announced the release of a new single.

'My Mistakes Were Made For You' is taken from the duo's debut album 'The Age Of The Understatement', which is up for the Mercury Music Prize next week (September 9), and features the London Metropolitan Orchestra as conducted by Final Fantasy/Arcade Fire violinist Owen Pallett.

B-sides for the single, out October 20, feature a live orchestrated version of the duo's song 'Separate And Ever Deadly' along with a live cover version of both Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's classic 'Paris Summer' and 'My Little Red Book' - a track written by Burt Bacharach.

The band are set to hit the road for live dates in the UK, Europe and USA next month.

The Last Shadow Puppets will play:

Wolverhampton Civic Hall (October 11)

Manchester Apollo (12)

Leeds Academy (13)

Stockholm Circus (15)

Copenhagen Vega Main Hall (16)

Berlin Tempodrome (17)

Amsterdam Paradiso (20)

Glasgow Academy (22)

I don't get the video AT ALL. :(

Some lovely camerawork in the video though, even if it's really simple.

its like an 80s video.

could be much better.

a song like this deserve a better video (imo)

Video added to The Box now. I imagine it'll be added/have already been added to Q, and then maybe 4music as well.

For the Box Doubles though, they played My Mistakes Were Made For You, and then I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor?! Talk about madness. Should have played a Last Shadow Puppets track!

I thought it was a pretty poor choice, but the video's quite cool and the song isn't that bad either.

There's still better on the album though.

Yeah I agree kinda. I think there's better songs on the album personally, but at the same time I think this is a very good single choice. The production of it is very tight, and its got alot of DJ praise, and I think that it's maybe a song that if people hear, they might be captivated by the track and then get into the Last Shaodw Puppets. Well, I can hope.
