I would have if this contest was the first time I'd heard the track, but alas this is not the case...

I'm sure you'll get something though :D I gave Barrowland Ballrooom 7 points and I heard that on the day I bought Amy's album last year

Tom, I don't consider Camille, etc as my potential entries so you may remove them and write the ones that in my NF: Sirusho, Christine Guldbrandsen and Maria Mena

:D

Nonsuch entry is:

t.A.T.u - White Robe :w00t:

This fantastic lead single from their 3rd forthcoming English language album "Waste Management" produced by the legendary UK producer Trevor Horn, with a stunning video directed by the legendary modern US video director Paul Hunter. Currently penciled in for UK release in January 2009 is this English version of their May 2008 Russian release Beliy Plaschik. (It sure as hell would sound great knocking off whatever awful cover version karoake singer who wins X-Factor with the best sob story off the top of the charts....)

Now cancelled.

hmm...not bad, weaker than the beautiful Gomenasai though...it doesn't have a strong enough chorus to be a comeback single in my opinion...

I don't think it will be a very successful UK comeback for the duo either in 2009, Friend Or Foe was a far better track and missed the top 40 whenever it was released...I can't see this being very hyped after their last UK comeback bombed, so it probably won't even dent the top end of the chart let alone No.1...

I agree with Rich, it's no All About Us :(
Yeah I'm not so keen on that TATU track either, can't see it doing too well in the BJSC myself.

Same tbh... i'm not a massive fan and i can just see it flopping :(

plus former winners never do well when they come back, it's a curse...just look at Katherine McPhee and Sara Bareilles' comeback results

there goes my plan for the next contest

Did the Veronicas really write 'all about us'? How immense of them :yahoo:

why who were you planning to send? Margaret Berger again?

Yes The Veronicas did write it :D in fact, there's a demo version of it by them here - much more atmospheric:

^^that would make an amazing future entry for someone^^

I considered it but realistically i don't think i would

WoW @ the Veroncias' version. Pretty cool but I think Tatu made it their own

the problem with sending a former winner is that people are always going to compare the track to the song that won by that artist...as people have been doing with 'Gomenasai' and 'White Robe'...

Yeh totally - but still I don't think they're always destined to fail e.g I reckon Katy Perry could do the double this time round

That was playing on my mind. Plus it did cross my mind that the Pet Shop Boys (who wrote the initial tune) are not particularly liked on Buzzjack.

Personally I think Gomenasai is a boring inferior version of Evanescence's My Immortal, and had Nonsuch been around then it probably would not have scored any points from the Nonsuch jury.

Well I've got a week to see if I can come up with something better, I might dig up one of three old songs that were never successful in the UK that I've pondered using, or risk repeating the winning formula of including a demo from a certain act's forthcoming second album that I have discovered very, very recently.
