I can imagine most people who hadn't heard 'Money Note' before getting 2 minutes in and thinking "wtf is this?". Of course I could be wrong and people may see it as the masterpiece it is. :o

That was playing on my mind. Plus it did cross my mind that the Pet Shop Boys (who wrote the initial tune) are not particularly liked on Buzzjack.

 

Personally I think Gomenasai is a boring inferior version of Evanescence's My Immortal, and had Nonsuch been around then it probably would not have scored any points from the Nonsuch jury.

 

Well I've got a week to see if I can come up with something better, I might dig up one of three old songs that were never successful in the UK that I've pondered using, or risk repeating the winning formula of including a demo from a certain act's forthcoming second album that I have discovered very, very recently. :thinking:

 

I like Pet Shop Boys for the most part...a lot of their post 2000 stuff has been below par

 

I never felt like Gomenasai was anything like My Immortal, they're both very good but quite different in my opinion...I was just surprised and pleased to hear tATu doing something slower as most of their other songs, including White Robe, are electro-rock/pop sort of songs

 

if you are happy with your entry then don't change it...if there are 44 participants and 5 people have said they don't like it, there's still 39 people who might well adore it...

People please help me with my choice for the next contest :o I can't decide. :(
