Ramos is on his way out, if this continues

Craig, Championship challengers in 3 years? more like 300

2 games gone :P 36 still to go :P

Several of the big names like Arsenal, Pompey and Villa have already lost a game this season

The start is disappointing but to talk of Ramos out after 2 games with 36 still to go is absurd

Plus if what the ITK's are saying is true there is going to be some big Spurs signings this next few days, we will still finish Top 6 maybe even 4th Kyle

Best of all it's two ex-Spurs players who scored (Defoe & Crouch)

Look, Craig was right - they will be Championship challengers in three years. The Coca-Cola Championship, that is.

Ramos is a joke. Can he even speak any English yet? They may be overhyped and overratted and they've certainly gone backwards since Jol left but how can anyone make those players seem like relegation fodder?! Jol must be laughing though, with his Hamburg side sitting at the top of the Bundesliga...

Totally agree. Getting rid of Jol was possibly the biggest mistake Spurs have ever made. I know they were doing $h!t, but if you want to challange the Top 4 you need stability, and when the going gets tough you've got to stick with your manager. Now Ramos... I do like him as a manager, and I think he's good, but he's in a bad position at the moment. Obviously the loss of Keane and Berbatov wasn't his doing, and its upset the balance of the side imo, but that's no excuse. I think he's spent poorly with the money that's been avaliable to him i.e. believing in Pavleychenko's (sp?) hype, paying way over the odds for Bentley, and I can go on and on.

Spurs, Everton and Newcastle are in a state at the moment. The only thing I think Spurs fans can be happy about is, sooner or later their players are going to gel and while it may mean another season of mid-table, at least they're not in Newcastle's position...

For the money he's spent (okay it was mostly finded from the departures of their goals machine), he's done f all to replace the scoring power up front. I mean Frazer Campbell  and the seriously overhyped Pavlyuchenko. And what do you need when you have a speedy right winger in Aaron Lennon, oh yes another one!

Ramos did rather naff last season if you ask me :kink: but got away with it, as it wasn't his team, and the fact they seemed to stay bottom half all season. Now it's showing he just can't cut in the Premier League I'm afraid. If Ramos doesn't go soon I'd be shocked (no doubt by "mutual consent").

Campbell came on in the UEFA Cup and made the winning goal, don't knock him, he wouldn't be at Manchester United, if he were c**p
he might be good, but he's not quite there yet, and I don't think he's going to get much more from Spurs than games to be honest. He needs a solid run in a first team to get his chance.

He's just as good as Bent, to be fair to Campbell

cos i know Bent would never have gotten in our team if he started at United.

I feel sorry for Ramos as it the mess with the strikers is Damien Comolli's (sp?) fault! But the tactics he's playing have been proved over and over again not to work in the Premier League

I for one think they should get rid of Comolli, get a decent striker or two and stick with the manager for a change!

Sincce winning the "Worthless Cup" © Alex Ferguson defeating Chelsea, Spurs have played 18 Premiership fixtures picking up .......... 16 Points.

Now that is what I call relegation material. Which is exactly what this grotty club deserve especially hearing their despicable chants towards Sol Campbell yesterday, and the disgraceful way they got rid of the excellent Martin Jol who is doing great things elsewhere, because unlike their current manager he can be bothered to learn the language of the club he is managing.

Newcastle & Spurs for the Championship League (instead of the Champions League) in 2009/2010 season.

Newcastle & Spurs for the Championship League (instead of the Champions League) in 2009/2010 season.

Now that would be the best thing to happen to the Premier League since we won the treble :D

Police to act on Campbell taunts

BBC NEWS

Police are to investigate racial and homophobic abuse directed at Portsmouth and former England defender Sol Campbell at Fratton Park.

The Portsmouth captain was subjected to taunts during his team's 2-0 Premiership home win over Tottenham on 28 September.

The 34-year-old is unpopular with Spurs fans after moving to their north London rivals Arsenal in 2001.

Police initially said the scale of the taunts meant no arrests could be made.

Hampshire Constabulary said it received a complaint about the abuse on Tuesday night.

"The complaint will be fully investigated but it is at an early stage," a spokeswoman said.

'Filthy abuse'

The force originally said it would refer the matter to the Football Association (FA) because "it was not feasible to make arrests in that kind of huge crowd".

The FA had said it would "take action where necessary".

Portsmouth's manager, Harry Redknapp, branded the verbal attacks as "filthy".

"Nobody likes being called filthy names and hearing other filthy abuse," he said.

"It's not right. What has that got to do with coming to a game?"

Campbell left Spurs on a free transfer in June 2001 to join rivals Arsenal.

He then joined Portsmouth from Arsenal in August 2006 on another free transfer.

Do you think Tottenham Hotspur should be heavily puunished for their fans behaviour or not?
