October 1, 200816 yr To those of you unaware here is the ditty performed by Spurs supporters: This is it to the tune of Lord of the Dance: "Sol, Sol, wherever you may be/You're on the verge of lunacy/And we don't give a f*** if you're hanging from a tree/You Judas c**t with HIV." To its credit  , it is a brilliantly tight verse, addressing any number of prejudices in four little lines. There's something to offend everybody here - the mentally ill, HIV sufferers, gay people, women, with an allusion to racist lynching thrown in for good measure.
October 5, 200816 yr Hull's march towards the CHampions League continues :cheer: and Ramos is one step closer to the exit :kink:
October 5, 200816 yr Author Like newcastle, spurs' fans have this thing, where they think they should be guaranteed cups, well, when you're this $h!t, you deserve nothing.
October 5, 200816 yr Not seen the game so I can't comment, but things look very bleak for Spurs. Can't undertstand Ramos' policy sometimes. Is clear they definitely need another top striker...
October 5, 200816 yr I watched the Spurs v Hull game online, and I have to say Spurs really dominated the game all the way through without creating that many really clear chances. Much like Arsenal last week, we didn't have much possesion but we defended really well. Another good performance by us I think. Spurs looked good but didn't have the confidence near the goal. Giovanni = legend though haha.
October 5, 200816 yr Sorry but LOL @ Spurs, 2 points in seven games is dreadful, I'm beginning to think they actually are going to be relegated!
October 5, 200816 yr What I don't get is, why are the media so obsessed with Newcastle at the moment when Spurs are pretty much in the exact same position as them? Is a bit baffaling. I know there's more with the ownership and the Kinnear stuff (legenadry press conference too might I add) but still...
October 5, 200816 yr Spurs worst start since to a league campaign since 1912  and meh at Everton, they let me down <_<
October 6, 200816 yr Spurs worst start since to a league campaign since 1912  And they're sinking quicker than a ship that sank that year. Who would have thought that £77 million spent would see them hurtling towards games at places like Blackpool, Scunthorpe and Oldham?
October 6, 200816 yr They may have spent £77m but they've also sold more than £77m worth of players... Berba - £30m Keane - £20m Robinson - £5m Kaboul - £6-7m Gardner - £2m Chimbonda, Tainio, Malbranque - ~£15m They have the makings of a well run club, one who doesn't spend that much more than they recoup. However it's all just pathetic. The transfer policy is awful, the treatment of Jol was awful, the way they sold Berbatov was awful. They also have a manager who so far looks completely clueless and inept and his tactics, substitutions and team selection makes Rafa Benitez (after 4(?) years of constant rotation has finally discovered that a settled team is the way forward and as such looks like they have the best chance to be title contenders in years) look like Martin O'Neill (same starting XI in each of the first 7 league games this season). So far after 7 league games these are the players he's played in each position: GK: Gomes RB: Gunter, Corluka, Zakora and now Bentley LB: Bale, Assou Ekotto CB: Corluka, Woodgate, King, Dawson RM: Bentley, Modric, Geovanni, Lennon CM: O'Hara, Modric, Zakora, Huddlestone, Bentley LM: Geovanni, Bale, Bentley, Modric, Lennon, Gilberto AM(supporst striker): Bentley, Lennon, Geovanni, Modric Strike Partnerships: Bent alone, Bent & Berbatov (as sub only), Pavlyuckenko & Bent, Bent & Campbell (sub only), Pavlyuckenko alone, Pavlyuckenko & Campbell SEVEN games!! Edited October 6, 200816 yr by RabbitFurCoat
October 7, 200816 yr Yup, it's no secret that wanton 'rotation' can unsettle any team. The person I'm 'lol'-ing at the most is David Bentley. I cannot stand the arrogance of the guy. If I were a Blackburn fan I'd be in fits of laughter now looking at him playing for the bottom club in the league because he thought he was too good for them.
October 19, 200816 yr They're screwed. They're gonna REALLY struggle this season now, they've just got nothing up front, and they lack createivity. Modric doesn't suit this league imo. Top table finish at best this season imo.
October 19, 200816 yr They'll pick themselves up, just like the mags. They've had an abysmal first 8 weeks, Ramos will get sacked sooner or later and someone else will come in and lift the club, and eventually they'll finish mid-table. Always happens. I actually don't mind Spurs all that much, so I feel sorry for their fans at this moment in time One thing I am glad about is that the mags haven't sorted themselves out during the international break. Fills me with a lot of confidence going into the derby next week. Whether they win lose or draw at City is irrelevant, the club's still a mess and we can take full advantage of it and end almost 30 years of pain against them on Wearside with a LONG overdue win ^_^
October 19, 200816 yr It gets EVEN better: :D Compare and contrast: Tottenham Hotspur with a German side managed by their former manager whom Spurs sacked Martin Jol: Barclays Premier League Table 19 October 2008 18:09 P GD PTS 1 Chelsea 8 16 20 2 Liverpool 8 7 20 3 Hull 8 0 17 4 Arsenal 8 10 16 5 Man Utd 7 8 14 6 Aston Villa 8 2 14 7 Portsmouth 8 -4 13 8 West Ham 8 0 12 9 Blackburn 8 -6 11 10 West Brom 8 -4 10 11 Man City 7 6 9 12 Sunderland 8 -2 9 13 Middlesbrough 8 -7 9 14 Wigan 8 2 8 15 Bolton 8 -2 8 16 Everton 8 -6 8 17 Fulham 7 -2 7 18 Stoke 8 -5 7 19 Newcastle 7 -6 5 20 Tottenham 8 -7 2 German Bundesliga : Table 19 Oct 17:51 Team P GD PTS 1 Hamburg 8 3 17 2 TSG Hoffenheim 8 7 16 3 Bayer Leverkusen 8 9 15 4 Hertha Berlin 8 1 14 5 Wolfsburg 8 6 13 6 Schalke 04 8 4 13 7 VfB Stuttgart 8 3 13 8 Borussia Dortmund 8 2 13 9 Cologne 8 -1 13 10 Werder Bremen 8 3 12 11 Bayern Munich 8 3 12 12 Karlsruhe 7 -3 9 13 Hannover 96 8 -7 8 14 VfL Bochum 8 -1 7 15 Arminia Bielefeld 8 -6 6 16 Cottbus 8 -8 5 17 Borussia M'gladbach 8 -9 4 18 Eintracht Frankfurt 7 -6 3
October 19, 200816 yr  Stoke were all over them in the last 10 minutes (plus 11 stoppage), granted they did have a man more, but  Spurs just looked out of sorts. And LOL! at the number of time Stoke hit the woodwork too  The missed penalty hit one post, rolled along the line, hit the other post, came out, then someone else managed to smash the rebound into the bar. Then Ricardo Fuller leathered the bar on the 100th minute. It could have easily been 5 or 6-1 just from the last 20 minutes of play.
October 20, 200816 yr Exactly! When Stoke completely outplay you then you know you're in trouble  One of my brothers is a Spurs fan so it's funny to see this happen but I wouldn't want them to go down! Thing is if they sack Ramos who are they gonna get? Promote Poyet? They've gotta rid of Commoli (sp?) though but the thing is they're not gonna be able to sign anyone to fill in gaps to play as a team until January now and if they carry on the way they then they'll be well adrift by then :o
October 20, 200816 yr A man walking along a London street stumbles across an old lamp. He picks it up and finds a genie in it The genie says he can have one wish to which the man says "I'd like a bridge to be built between London and New York so I can drive and see my mates in America". The genie said that was virtually impossible as it would take up too much time and resources and asked if he had another wish instead. The man thought and then said "I'd like to see Tottenham qualify for the Champions League" to which the genie relpied "do you want the bridge to have two or four lanes?"
