November 12, 200816 yr it's probably the only way SPurs will get into the UEFA Europa League next season :kink:
November 12, 200816 yr LOL talk about sour grapes  The Dippers were playing for professional pride after we beat them in the league I would imagine the players are gutted that they lost tonight and it will be a long lonely trip back on the coach up the motorway, sure the cup is not massive but they are professional footballers with several internationals in the team so they will have professional pride We didn't have a full strength side out tonight either having rested Darren Bent, Luca Modric, David Bentley, Ledley King, Jonathan Woodgate etc so the Dippers can't put out their "we put out the kids tonight" card as we rested several key players We won fairly and squarely

I'm not pissed off about getting beat, i'm annoyed about the performances of some of the players. No way did we play the kids tonight, the kids that played did well. The players that were fukin awful were the ones who would come into the side if there was any injuries. I really don't think they players will be too down-hearted either, they clearly couldn't give two $h!ts whilst they were playing, as they allowed Spurs to play. 2nd half was good from Liverpool. Just a shame Gomes faked his own death or else i'd have been confident we'd have taken the tie to extra time. Typical luck our worst player is too slow so both players get convineintly injured. :(
November 13, 200816 yr LMAO! Spurs fans should realise that no one cares about the Carling Cup before acting like they've won the bloody league like they did when they DREW against Arsenal  I hope Gomes is ok if they face Arsenal, that'll be entertaining :D

As a Spurs fan all that matters to me is WINNING, I am as excited and happy if we win a friendly against Dagenham and Redbridge as I am if we win a cup final, I support my team with every ounce of passion in my heart in EVERY game whatever that game might be Sure we were happy last night but it was because we WON a game, any TRUE football fan should be over the moon whenever their team win whatever the credibility or importance of the game
November 13, 200816 yr I don't give a damn about the Carling Cup, and Spurs can celebrate like they've won the World Cup for all I care, as it's the most worthless competition going (it's a passage into Europe I guess...) No, there's some competitions that are even more worthless than the Carling Cup. Such as the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, that World Club Cup thing in Japan* and the European Super Cup. * - It was meant to be a more open competition than the one-off match that put the winners of the Champions League and the Copa Libertadores. Those two competitions have provided the finallists each year since its introduction.

Even the Setanta Shield is better than it. Sure I wouldn't mind Liverpool winning it, but I just find it such a USELESS competition. The top clubs don't take it seriously, the mid-table clubs only take it semi-seriously and then the relegation clubs don't take it seriously. The FA Cup is a lot better and is exactly the same... apart from the fact ANY team can take part in it.
November 14, 200816 yr Roy Keane has resigned apparently, not travelling with the squad, been removed from betting as next manager to go Joining Redknapp as Asst at Spurs ? he is a massive Spurs fan

November 15, 200816 yr The "quitting" talk stemmed from the fact Keano didn't travel down to Blackburn with the squad (He travelled down later on), and it escalated from there And as for the arseholes who wanted him gone after the Carling Cup exit, there were 7,500 of us at Blackburn today chanting his name constantly. I can't see Keano leaving/being sacked from Sunderland any time soon tbh ^_^
November 16, 200816 yr "I walked out alright, I was walking my dog yesterday morning" A Roy Keane classic quote
November 26, 200816 yr Author ''looked out for'' i look out for numerous team's results, doesn't mean i support them.
