February 23, 200916 yr I agree with Medicated Soap. The ballads are really generic, her vocals are amazing but are so let down by the tracks. There's no individuality within each track, they're all pretty much samey, strong hooks and big choruses, but really bland. The Glen Ballard track is good though. Something like So Long (or summit).

February 23, 200916 yr TYPICAL THAT I LOSE MY INTERNET CONNECTION THIS WEEKEND. I have only just got back to uni where I've got the internet again, I'm on All I Ever Wanted, so really behind with the conversations here so far. LOVED Cry, and I Do Not Hook Up seems to be the perfect second single. Her vocals are really quite something.
February 23, 200916 yr I like the album especially already gone... but im annoyed that half the album is like covers or other peoples demos... like really kelly?
February 23, 200916 yr Author I like the album especially already gone... but im annoyed that half the album is like covers or other peoples demos... like really kelly? but so is every other album... And this album doesnt really feature any covers cos nothing was ever really released.. The only reason that we think it to be like that is because we know more about the demos etc
February 23, 200916 yr Author Kelly Clarkson's forthcoming album All I Ever Wanted has reportedly been leaked on the internet a fortnight before its scheduled release. The American Idol winner's fourth LP was due out on March 10. However, Rolling Stone reports that staff at the Norway division of Apple’s iTunes accidentally put tracks on its website on Friday. Clarkson's single 'My Life Would Suck Without You', due for a UK release on March 2, has already made it to No.1 in the US charts. The leak comes after U2’s No Line On The Horizon was apparently prematurely offered on a digital music service run by Universal Music Group's Australian division. AHHH WHY ARE THE BUGGERS EXPOSING IT?!
February 23, 200916 yr Author Demo versions of Whyyawannabringmedown and All I Ever Wanted on here: http://www.myspace.com/aranda I prefer Kelly's version of Whyyawannabringmedown
February 23, 200916 yr I find it odd of you (Medicated) to say Ready is a highlight but I Want You is out of place - those two songs are like a pairing to me. Both are out of place, but I feel like they're really well positioned at the end of the album to give a bit of light relief after the coldness of Impossible. But yeah, Ready is just as out-there as I Want You really... Anyway, my rank at the moment: 01 Already Gone - may well be my favourite Kelly song soon. It's just... too good for words. Poos all over Halo! 02 Don't Let Me Stop You - gets me feeling all warm inside. She may not have co-written this but there's something very genuine about how she sings the lines 'Tonight I feel a little bit brave' and 'The last time you kissed me you kept both eyes open'. Has to be single 4. 03 If I Can't Have You - absolutely frantic, sort of like P!nk's 'It's All Your Fault'. Really mesmerising. 04 I Do Not Hook Up - the improvements over the demo were so perfectly-judged. Her delivery is stunning, definitely something of an anthemic feel to the chorus. And that note! 'Fingeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr!' 05 Long Shot - what's amazing about this is how it feels like there's multiple genres of song mashed-in. The intro is crazy and then the verse hits you and it sounds as if it'll be a darker rocky number, then the chorus kicks in and it's lighter, big pop-rock. Lush. 06 My Life Would Suck Without You - listening to the album has sort of made me see that this is a little more throwaway than I'd originally realised, but it's still a bloody good song. The melody sets it apart from some of Luke's other work. 07 Cry - the verses are easily the highlight to this. Chorus is a tad shouty, but the verses are just stunning. I love how both open with 'If anyone asks...'. Could be a big hit single. 08 Ready - enjoyable fluffy, this. It's a little too short if anything, it feels over before it's begun. The outro is a bit schitzophrenic! 09 Impossible - at first this just seemed too cold, too clinical, but now I think it's pretty great. Something about her vocals really hooks you in. It's also an experimental sound for Tedder, so kudos to him. 10 Whyyawannabringmedown - unlike Ready this definitely benefits from being super-short. Could've sounded SO embarassing but instead it's actually a properly enjoyable romp. 11 I Want You - now the production on this is exquisite. I'm not always in the mood for it, but when I am, divine. The Duffy-esque vocals on the middle 8 are bloody odd though - who on earth is it?! 12 All I Ever Wanted - this is a definite case of verses outweigh chorus, but it's lovely. Very feel-good. Great drum-beat outro. 13 Save You - another one I have to be in the mood for. It makes you feel a tad depressed despite being quite airy. The middle 8 is its saving grace. 14 If No One Will Listen - again, a bit of an in-the-mood-er. Its slow pace means they were definitely right to put it on the end though, and about half way through it picks up. The production is subtle but pretty. For my money, better than anything released last year (including Funhouse, and that ain't easy!) and her best album to date. Crazy how she just keeps on getting better. I honestly wouldn't take anything out of the tracklist (though I'd probably have made If No One Will Listen a bonus and closed the standard edition with The Day We Fell Apart instead).

February 23, 200916 yr      .... Oh wait... he's serious aint he... :mellow:I'm a BIG fan of all the album's he named, (Except for '19' :puke: and Especially 'Circus') but I think I prefer 'All I Ever Wanted' more. But maybe I'm just being Biased :( - But surely I'd be more biased towards my Brit Brit though? :drama: I guess I'll never know :(
February 23, 200916 yr This album is far superier to the one's Dan mentioned IMO. I do prefer Chasing Lights and Bittersweet World a bit though, but perhaps that will change after a while considering i've listened to this album a lot less than those two.

I cant speak for Rockferry (although i have heard most of the album) and 19 but Out Of Control was :( Not for me...
February 24, 200916 yr I adore the album after a few listens, I really like 'If No One Will Listen', 'Ready' and 'Cry' they are my three standouts so far. Looking forward to hearing the other deluxe bonus track and the special Itunes bonus yet to leak :)
February 24, 200916 yr My review: 1. My Life Would Suck Without You - Instantly loved this and still do. Great melody and vocals from Kelly, perfect lead single. :) [9/10] 2. I Do Not Hook Up - So glad this is the second single! One of my favourites on the album, so catchy! Much better than Katy's version too. [10/10] 3. Cry - Absolutely amazing song. Such an epic bridge and the vocals are wow! I love the lyrics too. [9.5/10] 4. Don't Let Me Stop You - Love this, really strong chorus. I don't think the high belted note at the end of the bridge is necessary, she does them enough lol. [9/10] 5. All I Ever Wanted - I like this but I don't love the chorus. Can't see myself listening to it that much. [7/10] 6. Already Gone - Great laid back track. The lyrics are fantastic and the song as a whole is very haunting. Fantastic use of strings. [9/10] 7. If I Can't Have You - This is fantastic, I love the bridge! Nice to have another more electro song in similar vein to MLWSWY.[9/10] 8. Save You - This song is stunning and so beautiful. Tedder is a genius. Great vocals from Kelly. [10/10] 9. Whyyawannabringmedown - I'm glad I like this more than when I first heard the clip. Not amazing but it's funky and will be great to hear live. [7.5/10] 10. Long Shot - The intro on this is epic! Love the verses in this and it has a great production. [9/10] 11. Impossible - Really like the production on this too. The chorus isn't the strongest though, a bit bland. [7/10] 12. Ready - I love how this is totally different from everything else on the album. Such a cute fun song. The "come get me" whisper is adorable! [9/10] 13. I Want You - Not keen on this song, it's too repetitive. The Day We Fell Apart should have taken its place on the regular edition of the album IMO. [5/10] 14. If No One Will Listen - This song is pretty. It's nice to have one traditional power ballad. [7/10] Overall: [9/10] :) Revised marks: 1. MLWSWY - 10/10 2. IDNHU - 10/10 3. Cry - 10/10 4. DLMSY - 9/10 5. AIEW - 7/10 6. AG - 9/10 7. IICHY - 9/10 8. SY - 9/10 9. WYWBMD - 9/10 10. LS - 10/10 11. I - 7/10 12. R - 9/10 13. IWY - 5/10 14. INWL - 7/10 Most are the same but a few have changed over time. :)
