Anyone going to watch this?? Liv Tyler stars as well as Scott Speedman. It supposed to be a refreshing take on "slasher" films but is just above average. A sequel has already been confirmed with Bryan Bertino returning as the writer.

I might go watch this on opening night on Friday

I saw it already in June in Canada.

f***ing frightening, if you like good and scary movies, you will like this.

The advert was shown at the beginning of The Happening and it put me on edge for the whole of the film :( I hate masks and clowns generally and this film would freak me out so much. They showed the trailer last night while Big Brother was on and I hid behind a cushion :( So I don't think I'll be going to see it...

Sounds like my type of film even though ill probably still $h!t myself

I thought this movie will not come to Europe.

BTW it is much better than The Happening. It was boring.

I downloaded a good quality DVD screener of this yesterday, but I reckon I'll go see it at the cinema anyway....

This is absolutely MILES better than cr@p like "Hostel" and the last two "Saw" sequels.... The fact that there is absolutely NO reason, NO motive behind what these people do just makes it all the more terrifying... It's the sheer randomness of it all, that it could happen to anyone...

The chilling proclamation from one of the killers after being asked why they are doing this - "Because you were at home" is the answer.... Scary..... :o

Im thinking about going to the 11:40pm screening  What are the chances of being stalked home

Isn't this based on True Events?

I will definately be going to see this sometime this week along with 'Step Brothers' and 'Babylon A.D'

I think its based on the Manson murders...

I think its based on the Manson murders...

Nah, that's nonsense.. The events in the film in no way resemble the Manson Family killings, Manson actually had a motive (albeit completely fukked-up and nonsensical..), he wanted to provoke a race-war and they didn't wear masks either.... And frankly, I highly doubt the voracity of the "based on true events" bit at the start of the film tbh.... I mean, I've lost count of the amount of Horror films which use that tag-line to sell it to the audience..... "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "Blair Witch Project" anyone....?

It's a damn good film, don't get me wrong, and it does deal with the sorts of themes and anxieties which are at the core of people's psyches, and Home Invasions DO happen, but really, this is just a bit of an American re-telling of the French film "Ils" in a lot of ways, only that film was a bit more realistic and less obviously fictional if you get my meaning....

No, I don't think either it has happened in real life :)
Looks like a really good film, definatley want to see it.

I need a good scary movie. Maybe I'll go check it out next weekend :D

There seems to be a lack of anything good on at the cinema atm and there's only so many times a boy can watch Mamma Mia.

"Texas Chainsaw Massacre",

But that is based on true events.... the killings of Ed Gein.... who did make things out of peoples body parts.

I've just checked some trailers and interesting could be: Quarantine, Mirrors (though I'm afraid the film itself is not that good as the trailer) or Amusement. :o

i am seeing this tonight

the only kind of horror movies i can watch are one wiht sexy women in the cast, SCream had courtneny cox and this has liv tyler

Well I heard of this film an age ago, but I was never sure about it. I kinda get vibes of this being a similar sort of film to Vacancy?

I do love a scary film though, and i've not seen a proper scary one in TYM. So if what people are saying about this being genuinely scary, then i'll check it out tonight!
