November 11, 200618 yr This has got to be one of the sickest....and best....horror films of recent years Really good story to it and shows just what probably does happen in Eastern Europe away from home.... :o :( Are you joking? Edited November 11, 200618 yr by Ashley
November 11, 200618 yr Love this film  Really scary atmospehere and the baddies were portrayed really well that you despised them with a passion. I was cheering on the man at the end :yahoo: 8/10 from me Looking forward to Hostel- Part II
November 11, 200618 yr I didnt see any homophobic references apart from one the leads saying something as 'gay'. I personally found this a refreshing change as it portrayed what usual frat boy language they use and wasn't very politically correct. ^_^
November 11, 200618 yr Are you joking? Yeah, things like that happen where body parts are sold for money Nothing to the extent of the film though, but it was cool to see something a bit darker than the usual frat boy horror film
November 11, 200618 yr Well, I have seen Hostel, and I thought it was sick :( Not scary mind, but sick.....and I dont usually mind a bit of gore!

November 11, 200618 yr Well, I have seen Hostel, and I thought it was sick :( Not scary mind, but sick.....and I dont usually mind a bit of gore! Yeah, sick and insulting and xenophobic..... The fact that it's virtually plotless as well and with such one-note characters hardly helps either.... The "Saw" films are cleverly, densely plotted with pretty good characterisation, and there's more of an actual reason for the sick and twisted sh!t that goes on.....
November 12, 200618 yr I really want to see this film but my video shop still doesn't stock it. I've heard a very mixed bag of comments about it. Some people, still like Grimly said here, say it's gratuitious (no 'actual reason for the sick and twisted sh!t that goes on') and some people say it's the perfect version of this new form of horror film. I want to see it and make up my own mind. Damn 24hour video!

The 'New Form' of modern horror is far better represented by films like "Saw", "Wolf Creek", "Severance" or "Devil's Rejects" than this empty-headed, puerile rubbish Tim....

November 12, 200618 yr Why dom't let him make up his own mind Because it's 90 minutes of his life and £2.99 that he aint gonna get back.....

November 12, 200618 yr Because it's 90 minutes of his life and £2.99 that he aint gonna get back.....  is that £2.99 to hire or buy.
November 12, 200618 yr is that £2.99 to hire or buy. Hmmmm, probably £2.99 to buy in the next few months I would imagine.....  I'm sure Virgin put it in a 5 for £30 offer recently.... I bet you could get it for about five quid on CD WOW region 3....
November 13, 200618 yr Author i watched it today. And i was disappointed.... ...with the lack of gore :( the best bit was where he cut the woman's eye off. There was no plot, it is c**p as a film. I enjoyed it abit though. The women were HOT! lol but not enough gore for me :( and the blood and gore was all abit too computerised for me.

Thanks for the tip. I've seen 'Saw' already and enjoyed it a lot. I've heard terrific things about 'Wolf Creek' from the American press. I've heard very mixed things about the other two though - just like I've heard about 'Hostel'.
November 13, 200618 yr I would recommend Wolf Creek it is one of the best most realistic "scary" movies I have seen
November 13, 200618 yr I would recommend Wolf Creek it is one of the best most realistic "scary" movies I have seen I've also seen that Again, was really good but at the start you think aah weeak....this is going to be some dull low budget affair But really, you are literally itching for them to get away :cheer:
November 13, 200618 yr Author Is it me or does anyone else think they wouldn't be able to stand let alone walk around if they had their eye cut out?

That's meant to make it less painful I think she was a bit harsh killing herself because of it though :o
