Posted September 3, 200816 yr I don't know what has been posted about this already but i thought i'd post something :P OK, so the O-zone song Dragostea Din Tei has been remade for the us market apparently being triggered by an attention seeking fool on youtube singing it... these remakes are being aimed at the dance market, and the other the RnB market by a few artists including Rihanna and Alina, 4 years!!! after it was huge across europe... I know america are behind music wise but this just takes the p*** haha O-Zone (Original) Mdb0B3Ib2gE {3}-4-5-10-9-9-8-8-10-13-16-18-30-36-49-51-64->17 (Uk Chart run) The Attention Seeking Youtuber 60og9gwKh1o Alina & Basshunter QBYxCFCk3GQ Rihanna & T.I qtDLzmluU3Y In my opinon, they have all destroyed O-zone's great pop song... If a romanian song can chart in the UK of all places, maybe o-zone should just reform and show america what the song should sound like! I know the original song was cheesy, but it was a quite good pop... i personally think these new versions are $h!te. Thoughts? Edited September 3, 200816 yr by Jack89
September 3, 200816 yr O-Zone  I thought that song was AMAZING. I don't like the Rihanna one they have ruined a great Euro pop song. They've made it sound... TOO American -_-
September 3, 200816 yr The song was pretty $h!t from the start to be honest. The best one, for me, is clearly the T.I. version, as at least when it comes to lyrics and flow T.I. has a tremendous amount of skill. O-Zone are talentless all around. It's a bit of an embarrassing sample though... You do realize that the guy who made the 'Youtube' video (and this was circulating long before Youtube even stared up in 2005) was embarassed about the video for many years? Refused interviews with the press and everything. I'd hardly call it attention seeking.

Refused interviews with the press and everything. I'd hardly call it attention seeking. If he wasn't attention seeking then why would he upload it in the first place? If he wasn't attention seeking why would he not remove it when people were trying to interview him etc and finally if he wasn't attention seeking why would he add numerous other video's acting like a fool, up to as recent as 9 months ago if it had been circulating since 2005, and considering his numa numa video has like 10million hits and other spin offs in the millions, which would take quite a while to accumilate, why would he keep uploading them/ not remove them? Even if he had mental issues, and he was annoyed at people slagging him off or the media attention, he'd either remove them or stop adding them?! I don't mean to sound arsey/or to rant at you  but to put video's like that on the internet, you have to be attention seeking.. and he definitely is due to him not removing them! anyway, personally i think O-zone's version is great pop.. i think the fact that it isn't in english and you can still sing along to it/ get stuck in your head, even tho it's in romanian proves that it is a great pop song... whereas T.i's is just another example of an american rapper thinking they are beyond cool and taking something that is viewed as something overly geeky in america, and then giving an half-arsed attempt at rapping over the instrumental music and then considering what they have done as automatically cool... As for the Alina version, it's $h!t dance music at its worst! I'm not claiming the original to be a music masterpiece, it is a summer europop song at its best. But, yeah, i'm really not trying to be arsey with what you said, im just stating what i think and i love Lady GaGa/ your sig is cool =D Edited September 3, 200816 yr by Jack89
September 3, 200816 yr That Basshunter & Alina song is attrocious, in fact all the versions are vile.
September 5, 200816 yr TI/Rihanna's is alright, the original and the others are awful I always hated the song to be honest and can't believe it spent 9 weeks in the UK top ten :puke:
