Excuses excuses, the simple fact is the single they chose to lead the album with has enticed very few people outside of the existing fanbase to buy the album and they're gonna have to fight to save it now.

 

It will be out of the top 40 on Sunday sadly. :(

We all know it's a good album thats been lead off with a poor single.

Album's I've heard which are above it in the midweeks and which aren't as good include P!nk and Girls Aloud. I love both but C&S is my album of the year so... :lol:

I can see why some people do love C+S, but in the same way that some people have a face only a mother could love.

 

Its not a bad album but its very very safe in my opinion and i dont think they worked with great people. A few tracks are great though.

They couldnt have promoted this album anymore than they have.

 

They did more promo dates for girls than any single ive seen for a long time and they got to no1 on airplay which is a huge achievement.

 

At the end of the day, people just dont want the album.

Poor Sugababes, id say both C&S is on the same level of greatness as Out Of Control. I would personally rank Chasing Lights as much better.

On a lighter note, the new Boots advert is playing Sugababes - Girls, and includes some of the verse as well (quite a long advert actually) it may help - and it was plated in-between Corrie

Shindymindy is not a Sugababes loon and he has every right to an opinion. He's even said OOC is great, and for you to imply you could only love this album if you're a fan loon is not only utterly ignorant but also completely incorrect - if you read many a message board you'll see it's won back fans put off by how safe Change was!

 

And whilst you're allowed an opinion calling this 'safe' shocks me and for me Klas is the producer they've been searching for for so long; their own Xenomania if you like.

I think i'm going to stop posting about the Sugas because the GA fans go crazy over everything.

 

I think what GA are doing now is great, and they deserve the success they are getting.

No, don't stop posting! Don't let anybody who is close-minded or delluded enough to think that we're forcing ourselves to prefer Sugababes' album stop you from posting your thoughts. You're one of the few on here who stays positive and stop's the threads being misery zones!

I don't want to argue because I don't want this forum to turn into a venue for that but how can you say 99.9% of Sugababes fans love this album? You've seen for yourself the reaction in here. I'd say about 60% love the album, a few more like it, a few dislike it. I can think of MANY other artists whose fanbases are considerably more biased (without naming any)!

 

And there's no evidence that the public don't like the album. There's evidence they're not huge on Girls, but that's not the album, to my knowledge.

I still think the album will start doing better when people atart hearing the other songs because i don't see why this album is doing so badly (apart from the fact that they released girls).

 

Hopefully it picks up before Christmas so they can get some all important sales.

god girls just ruined this for me, i just really dont like it!!! and i cant lie i am disapointed by the new single, its just a nothing!!! i dont think it will save it there are so much better songs which they could have used for me heart being the main one!

Erm, no, nobody judges an album from one song. I bought C+S and if i just judged it on girls, i wouldnt have touched it with a barge pole.

 

And this is a single that made top 3, its hardly unpopular is it? The fact is, people are obviously not interested in the babes or the album, if they were, they would be buying it.

 

And this is not bashing, i personally think its a good album but then again, i like the babes so made the effort. Other people should.
