Angels is a 9 and this isn't as good as AWDF and their only album thats better than AWDF is Three and it's gods gift to music imo

I would give it a 9/10 too- i love it.

The chorus, 'hanging on a star, I was waitin' round to fall in love' does bear a slight resemblance to 'I got Prince singin' Hot Thing to me, I know every line' part of OOC I think :heehee:

and Side Chick is immense, especially Amelles verse "let me tell you about a boy who's going lala tryin an get my yaya" :wub: and "pulling all sorts of trickery tryin to get in my knickers and you don't stop this $h!t is gettin ridiculous" :lol: best lyrics ever!

If you want a stupidly safe album, then go over to the GA Forum and bum the most likely ridiculisuly safe Out of Control, because frankly id rather listen to an album with a GOOD change of direction and more mature and smooth sound.

Im really sorry to bring this up and kind of spark a GA vs Suga's b**ch again, but how the hell can you even comment on OOC when you havent even heard it yet?! Oh my goodness, talk about a low blow.

You were just nattering on about how annoying it is when people brand an album 'diabolical' or 'awful' after they've heard it but then you go and suggest an album is going to be ridicuously safe without hearing it ... come on now! Its not like 'The Promise' is safe at all, a SKO re-hash would of been exactly that.

 

BTW this album is growing on me, i've heard it in full bar (IMO) the awful 'Side Chick' three times now. 'Can We Call A Truce' is really nice but slightly annoying, along with another track which i cant think of the name but 'No Can Do', 'Every Heart Broken' and 'Hanging On A Star' are very nice indeed.

 

This album will enter at no.4 with sales of just over 50k and spend three weeks top ten - theres my prediction.

I honestly don't know what to think! Just listening for the first time and whilst all the tracks are much better than 'Girls' it's hardly amazing :(

'No Can Do' sounds eerily like a Jackson Five song :lol:. Sounds more summery though if they plan to release it next...

 

I'm not faulting the record at all. It's fairly consistant and all the tracks are good. But that's the thing. Just good. Nothing amazing. Nothing that stands out. :(

A lot of the songs are fairly decent BUT theres nothing on there outstanding or memorable imo, it'll be looked back at as one of their worst albums I think.

Yeah, that GA comment was a bit silly given no-one's heard it LOL. And tbh, descriptions of Nadine rapping and farm animal noises may sound scary, but not really 'safe' :P

 

Glad it's growing on you Coolnav. I'd be SO happy with #4 and 50k. I think the minimum they need is 35k, any less would be a real disaster. I personally think it'll go #5 on 40k.

I adore Three, i love every last track. AWDF has some tracks that are just beyond amazing, but is let down by Shape and that diabolical RR remix. :puke:

 

To say C&S is their best effort IMO is an exaggeration, it's good but its not their best, kind of on par with TIMW. Then i quite like One Touch, i think it's fair to say its a better OT. Change is their worst album by far. MLIP :puke: Surprise :puke: Open The Door :puke: i could go on.....

I did download it when It came out but never got round to buying it, Strung Out and B Boy Baby are my faves! :wub:
