:-( oh well

maybe doing the christmas lights at Oxford Street today will help? Maybe some people will go and buy the album (if they perform No Can Do!)

How many attend the switch on?

Don't know- McFly did (Regent Street?) the other day and had 60,000ish if i remember rightly- Oxford Street's christmas lights are bigger and more famous!
Oooh, could get them another 5-10k sales then if they keep plugging the album and more turn up than they did for McFly.
Hopefully people being at the lights and there being a HMV right next door will encourage a few hundred sales that they wouldn't have got otherwise... if it's a good performance of course.

Thanks for the welcome messages the other week. :)

Here's my Catfights and Spotlights review. Still loving it, btw! :D

Girls - Catchy and I enjoy the verses. I can kind of understand why it was chosen as the lead single as it's so radio-friendly. But I think there's better songs on the album and it doesn't represent the album all that well. 7/10

You On A Good Day - I find some of the lyrics funny but I don't think the song really goes anywhere. Sometimes I skip it. 5/10

No Can Do - I really like this one, it's another catchy one that I enjoy. Wouldn't have picked it for second single though. 7/10

Hanging On A Star - When I first heard it with all the "Tell me baby baby!" I was thinkng "What the hell is this?" But it's actually grown on me, even though it's not spectacular. 5/10

Side Chick - Love this one and I think it's a real turning point on the album because I think most of the songs are fantastic from this point. I especially love the "It's not attraction that is missing, the intensity is there" lyric, it's often stuck in my head. 9/10

Unbreakable Heart - I've grown to like this more and more. Nothing more to say, another great song. 9/10

Sunday Rain - Fantastic, it's really atmospheric and passionate. One of the best Sugababes songs I've heard. 10/10

Every Heart Broken - I love this! Witty lyrics that you don't really appreciate until after a few listens. 10/10

Beware - I like this song but I sometimes skip it because I find it jarring as it seems very different to the rest of the album. 6/10

Nothing's As Good As You - It doesn't seem like it has a lot to it, but it's still one of my favourites and one that sticks into your head afterwards. I love Heidi's vocals at the start. She's my favourite member of the group. 9/10

Sound Of Goodbye - Fantastic ballad, I can't stop listening to it. Heidi's voice is brilliant again. I wish we could hear more of her voice on the albums! 10/10

Can We Call A Truce - Great way to finish off, winding the album down with another great ballad. 9/10

I loved Change but prefer this so much more. Gutted it hasn't done better. :(

like is said.

Real Girl.

Stop saying that you're upsetting me!!!

Nice review! We seem to like the same songs, just a couple of your scores are slightly higher. Great minds and all that!

I love this album even more now.

Sunday Rain and Unbreakable Heart are so good :D

Great review, and I agree with you, except for NAGAY and SR.

Sound of Goodbye, Unbreakable Heart, Side Chick, and EHB are the bests IMO. ^_^

In tuesday's midweeks, Catfights was #53 apparently. Gutting.

Little vid of the girls at Oxford Street's Xmas lights:

Clip of them singing and very short interview from 1:20.

wtf with this album?! will it ever stabilise?! I know many people thought Girls wasn't the lead we all dreamed of but it did well in its own right and is higher in the singles than the bloody album is! I mean, its the Sugababes, just the stacks of the album on the focus shelving should sell it by now, it's their 7th album ffs. They obviously should have stuck with Xeno-Electropop rather than daring to be different. Hmph! Most fans love this album, shame if it only becomes "one for the fans"

Noticed in one of the official emails it's already been certified Gold- means there must be a lot of copies of it hanging around in stock rooms and warehouses! The retailers obviously expected it to sell too...

Still not Top 40 today. Hopefully the CIN performance will help.
Well it was unlikely to be top 40 really want it. Hopefully CIN will help, but i guess we'll have to wait and see.

:-( is really upsetting! Such a good album.

I still think and hope it will begin to pick up a bit towards Christmas!

god you post a positive comment every few mins, just loook back the pages its ennoying !

i know, can't have those positive comments cluttering up a fan forum, it'll be like we actually like the 'babes!

I hope it climbs towards Xmas too and NCD is bound to result in SOME sort of rebound so sure you're right SM :)
