Posted September 10, 200816 yr I remember a small discussion about this taking place during one of the results shows a few months back. Now that there have been ten contests, most countries have sort of established an identity within the BJSC. I'm curious to hear what you think your ESC equivilant country would be, or what other poster's equivilant may be. I think FSR Rontvia is definitely Sweden, mostly producing great pop songs that have a very wide appeal, and a good track record. Kopeceka and Bhangra are Russia and Ukraine, pretty much, somehow, always guaranteed a top ten placing :D Camtoro and Leonville....Serbia and Montenegro perhaps? Practically the same country ;) Any thoughts?
September 10, 200816 yr Sweden, I like that one  Mdice is Greece, usually come low top ten but when they win, they win big with only the occasional flop what happened to Camtoro and Leonville! I think they are Czech Republic and Montenegro, they send awful songs which never get anywhere :kink:

I think I may have inadvertently become France...
September 10, 200816 yr Not a clue who Juranabaijan is...only been TWO contests afterall  Azerbaijan springs to mind

I think I may have inadvertently become France... I would have you down as Switzerland, fairly mid-table results usually, but when you send a good song it comes low top ten but deserved higher and you're not afraid to take risks trying something completely different in every contest, even if these risks sometimes fail
September 10, 200816 yr Simondly would have to be UK, as they always seem to fail to come top 10
September 10, 200816 yr Author Simondly would have to be UK, as they always seem to fail to come top 10  I would have thought Simondly would be Turkey. Started off their BJSC career with constant flops, but now have had a few strong top ten finishes.
September 10, 200816 yr I don't know who I would be...maybe Finland because I've had one win but I don't usually do that well otherwise.

I say that because France aren't that fussed on winning and for most of the last 20 years they have entered songs that they think other countries should hear, not songs they think they have a genuine chance with. I'm noticing similarities with Herzebania!!

September 10, 200816 yr I wouldn't say any country doesn't have a chance of finishing top ten anymore! Anyway, I'd say Kopecka are like Greece or Armenia - more likely Greece. Normally top ten, with the occasional flop. We haven't had our Elena yet though :( Oh wait, we're more like Macedonia - we always qualify but we never get the goods :heehee: Or like Sweden, we have quite a few top tens up our sleeves with the odd flop (including Jordin in the third contest who played the role of Charlotte Perrelli :kink:) I could go on! :heehee:
September 10, 200816 yr you sent the right song at the wrong time with Freeze...if you'd sent it to BJSC6/7 it would have come top 5 I think...and if you did win at some point Greece would match Kopecka perfectly :o

September 10, 200816 yr Nonsuch = As I've joined the competition late only at BJSC 8 then I have to be either a former Yugoslavian or former USSR satellite state. As the 3 results I've had so far have all seen Top 10 finishes: 9th, 1st & 3rd then I reckon I'm the Serbia of BJSC so far.

They won on their second time and finished consistantly in the top ten.... It all depends on how you do this time :P
September 10, 200816 yr Definitely Latvia or Serbia for Nonsuch ^_^ And bless you Rich for finding Untouched!
