October 14, 200816 yr When does voting close on this? You have until at least two weeks after the conclusion of BJSC XI (which should be roughly six weeks away) to nominate your favourites, and all nominations must be sent by PM to me :P I think I'll send mine after BJSC XI. ^_^

November 2, 200816 yr Can I make a suggestion? Since non-qualifiers aren't allowed to be nominated, maybe we could have a little minor contest going on at the same time to find the best non-qualifier? Just a small consolation prize! Maybe from now people could nominate a song or two who they think deserved to qualify, and then in the final week we could post the final 10 or so and people could vote for their favourite 3 or so and then we can announce the winner on results night! Just a thought...I'd be happy to organise that one if people think it's a go-er. I know there are alot of songs (one in particular) that people think were very short changed in not reaching the final, and it would be nice to recognise that :)

I was actually thinking about that situation last night, I was like "I should use Sophie Ellis-Bextor for BJSC XII" and then I remembered what happened last time. -_- I think it would probably be won by 'Headhunted' but I think Sophie would probably finish a good second.

November 2, 200816 yr Well to be honest I wouldn't want it to take any more time away from the main contest. I just saw it as a nice informal competition going alongside the main event. People would just PM a couple of songs they think should have qualified, then choose from the shortlist and a winner is announced. Straightforward, no scoring systems, no preliminary rounds or anything like that. I think it would be nice to go parallel to the Best Of contest. Doesn't take too much thought of effort on the part of the voters or whoever runs it.
