April 14, 200916 yr Author Oh, is it a demo? :o Who's Ruff, the producer anyway? Damned mistaken tags! "Ruff" as in "Rough"; a rough mix i.e. a demo.
April 14, 200916 yr It is?! :o :arrr: I'm sure you can rename it :( And the Ruff remix probably won't be on the album... Apparently so. Obviously, I can, it's just a pet hate of mine. I rarely listen to demos but, when I do, the names usually end up changing. e.g "I Don't Know"/"The Fear". :drama: It's the demo of 'Click' not a remix. Therefore no huge changes are likely. I'd avoid listening Aaron tbh. I've heard most of this record already and I wish I hadn't... Is this because of your disappointment in her becoming more safe and mainstream, or because there's very little of the album left to hear? :o
April 14, 200916 yr Author Is this because of your disappointment in her becoming more safe and mainstream, or because there's very little of the album left to hear? :o A combination of safeness and very little left to hear. She was always meant/planned to be mainstream and it isn't a bad thing to be mainstream either o:
April 14, 200916 yr wow, just heard New In Town finally, it's amazing, by a mile the best I've heard from her so far  It's been number one in my Personal Chart for the last 5 weeks.
April 14, 200916 yr A combination of safeness and very little left to hear. She was always meant/planned to be mainstream and it isn't a bad thing to be mainstream either o: Ah right. Yeah, I've been really excited for this album and it only dawned on me recently that I've heard 7 of the 9 'confirmed' songs (demo versions, or not) a clip of "Symmetry", making "Click" the only one I need to hear. Of course there are 3 songs left (and is "Hands" also going to be a hidden track?) left to hear but that's not very exciting. I know she's always been planned to be mainstream and it's not bad but you certainly seem less enthusiastic about her recently. Whether it's her working with big 'generic' producers/remixers or altering the final versions of her songs to sound safer. I guess that's part of liking someone from when they performed covers on Youtube and wrote songs with no pressure and then they prepare to become BIG.
April 14, 200916 yr The Blackpool girl deserves massive success I have bought both her previous releases. I first brought her to the fore for buzzjacks members last November with my previous signature. (The one with the caption - Who's Got Little Feet Then)
April 14, 200916 yr I first brought her to the fore for buzzjacks members last November with my previous signature. (The one with the caption - Who's Got Little Feet Then) But "Meddle" was sent to the BJSC in July. I think that would have been the main occasion where Buzzjack, in general, paid attention to her. Of course there are others who knew of her long before July but I expect most of Buzzjack knew of her before November anyway.
April 14, 200916 yr It's been number one in my Personal Chart for the last 5 weeks. shame on me for not following your video link! same with Jungle Drum

Of course there are others who knew of her long before July but I expect most of Buzzjack knew of her before November anyway. BJSCVIII was certainly the first time I heard of her... and to be honest Euro Music, I don't pay much attention to people's signatures and have certainly never felt that a signature has led me to investigate an act
April 14, 200916 yr Author Unless I'm mistaken I posted the first thread about her ('Meddle') way back on: Jun 17 2008, 04:46 PM. What does it matter though?
April 14, 200916 yr I agree, it will be one of the biggest hits of the year...I know some people see it as a weak single compared to the other songs we already know but for me it's a lot lot stronger because it is infinitely more accessible and therefore guaranteed to be a mainstream hit I was cautious about the hype she was getting as I never saw songs like 'Stuck On Repeat' and 'Mathematics' (as good as they are) going anywhere near the UK top 3 and suspected that she might not be as big as everyone thought she would be, but 'New In Town' has No.1 written all over it and is an excellent choice for debut single

This screams HIT, and it's amazing. All her other tracks don't although I do love Mathematics. Edited April 14, 200916 yr by Robot
April 14, 200916 yr I agree with everything you said there. This screams HIT, and it's amazing. All her other tracks don't although I do love Mathematics. all of her other songs are 8/10's for me, although I'd stretch to a 9 for Mathematics, but nothing wowed me and made me think 'she really lives up to the hype' until I heard New In Town  a few more of these on the album and she could have a classic on her hands

The first time she was ever mentioned on this site was in my personal chart and yours (and Jonny's I think) back in March 2008. ;o How far she has come.
