September 28, 200816 yr What's with the random picture  I think they own the place where Glastonbury is held and they are responsible for the line-up. I would guess they were criticised for getting Kings of Leon to be one of the headline acts.
September 28, 200816 yr I think they own the place where Glastonbury is held and they are responsible for the line-up. I would guess they were criticised for getting Kings of Leon to be one of the headline acts. Yep. They were questioned by the media etc. (and me including) when they were booked to headline. Anyway, amazing sales. I only thought they'd do 200k after I saw the mids on Tuesday. Should easily go platinum next week! :D
September 28, 200816 yr The picture is of Michael and Emily Eavis, the people who own/run/whatever Glastonbury. When they picked Kings Of Leon and Jay Z to headline with The Verve they recieved a lot of criticism because they weren't big names or up to the job of what is one of the most prestigious things of the musical year. Yet, 5 months down the line Jay Z proved to be an incredibly popular headliner and Kings Of Leon now have the number one album with only Coldplay selling more in one week this year and number one single which IIRC not only became the first 'indie/rock' number one this decade to spend over a week at the top spot but has managed to spend three weeks at the top!
September 29, 200816 yr so weird how they seem to have went massive overnight, feel like i'm missing the point somehow. Nice sales though
September 29, 200816 yr Author Just a little note, sales from MW may be a little bit late due to a site revamp, but the site is looking well nice, and looks rather professional, hopefully we get some sales info pretty soon.
