Awful for you, for me and many other people it was great. There should be an option of people having the chance to buy the song or not...

Agreed. I know this isn't really the place for a rant on such matters, but I hate how European music is treated in the UK. It either doesn't get released at all, or the artist gets treated as a one-hit-wonder novelty before they even get that one hit. Take September. She's made three (!) amazing albums but at the moment there's no sign even of a second UK single. Even the US has had more...

But it's for Heroes, they can be forgiven

I agree too, and now with the downloads it's not difficult to release more European hits (as a download only for example), but the songs need also some promotion that they won't get out there in the UK. :(

Agreed. Although Cry For You is her 2nd UK single though, Satellites flopped unsurprisingly. But many dont try to crack the UK though, they are just happy with cracking continental europe, as its easier as we're more open to different languages.

Angel In The Night is only charting in the UK

I think that's because they're behind on the English songs, as the Swedish songs were popular in most of Europe too.

By the way Irish chart peaks are available at http://www.irishcharts.ie/ :)

Jennifer Hudson

I hope this sticks around for a while :P

Forgot about Satelites! I have a promo. AATW released it (well, put it out and left it to rot).

So you're saying go back to where they came from?

So you're saying go back to where they came from?

Ive bought loads of European compilation CD's and CD singles, saves downloading them.

and you can be ahead of the pack a good 2 months or so before they get here.

eg: The ketchup song was huge on our house way way before it reached the charts in the UK

(Thanks to Italian and German TOTP)

Rugby, U.K., singer-songwriter James Morrison could be the genetic offspring of James Blunt, Joss Stone, and Terence Trent-D'Arby. Soulful vocals mixed with sensitive acoustic guitars, and some tasteful Beatles-esque string flourishes, and there you have it. Morrison's debut album, UNDISCOVERED, released in July of 2006, owed as much to contemporaries KT Tunstall and Damien Rice as it did to legends like Otis Redding, Cat Stevens, or Nick Drake--and that undeniably successful formula, not surprisingly, took the album to the top of the U.K. album charts. - HMV
