October 14, 200816 yr I wonder if it's worth putting a bet on Diana. She's the one the internet seems to be backing, her performance had the most effect on the iTunes chart and I think her performance has most views on Youtube. I can just see it coming down to her and (Eoghan/Scott/Austin) in the final and losing - giving us another Leon/Rhydian situation where the 'looks' win over talent. -_-

But I doubt it was her performance that got people downloading the song- merely more people liking the actual song maybe?.
October 14, 200816 yr I don't think Alexandra is the favourite that everyone seems to think she is unfortunately. Coz for the 2nd week in a row her song hasn't had an impact on the iTunes that much. 'Listen' didn't make the Top 120. Whitney Houston 'I wanna Dance with somebody' only dented the 120 (Peaking at 107 I think) 12 hours AFTER everyone else already had an impact!
October 15, 200816 yr ^ I don't think that's a good way to judge how popular people are. Hope were pretty much the only act who got the songs they performed back in the Top 40 last year and they were hardly the most popular act were they? :P
October 15, 200816 yr Laura was awful. Playing vocal gymnastics and bellowing does not make for a good performance imo. It was a totally disconnected, insipid rendition of an ironically soulful and deep song. WQoooo, exactly the point I'm trying to make.
October 15, 200816 yr Coleen: 'Wayne knows X Factor winner' Wednesday, October 15 2008, 19:08 BST The Sun.co.uk/Digitalspy.co/.uk Wayne Rooney knows who is going to win this year's X Factor competition, according to wife Coleen. The fashionista has commented that Rooney has picked out the last three winners of the talent show, and that this year he is backing Alexandra Burke. "We love watching the show and he picked out Leona two years ago from watching her very first audition," said Coleen. "While he was certain Shayne would win from the first final show three years ago." "Then he tipped Leon to beat Rhydian in the final. I wouldn't have a clue who is going to win this year. Cheryl has the strongest group, but it's who the public likes. "I like Laura and Diana, but Wayne is confident it's Alex." So there you go, no need to watch the show anymore as we now know who is going to win thanks to Wayne? :D

Norma
October 16, 200816 yr Cheryl has the three favorites - Would LOVE Diana to win  Diana and Ruth are my favourites! I dislike what I would call yodelling, i.e. scalling up and down a particular note. I don't like that sort of singing, Diana and Ruth didn't do that, I believe. It seems popular that sort of singing, but for me, I'd rather hear nails being scraped down a chalkboard.
October 19, 200816 yr X Factor Outright Winner - Betfair.com odds 19th Oct (12th Oct) Diana Vickers - 11/4 fav (7/1) Laura White - 7/2 (13/5 fav) Alexandra Burke - 6/1 (4/1) Austin Drage - 7/1 (15/2) Eoghan Quigg - 9/1 (8/1) JLS - 19/2 (19/2) Rachel Hylton - 35/2 (10/1) Scott Bruton - 28/1 (35/1) Ruth Lorenzo - 47/1 (40/1) Daniel Evans - 75/1 (85/1) --------------------------------------- GirlBand - OUT (300/1)
October 19, 200816 yr Poor Ruth, i was hoping her last performance who improve her chances a lot. Same here, but realistically, she won't win the X-Factor. It will be someone stupid like Eoghan.
October 19, 200816 yr As if Daniel will be out next. The british public have no ears, unless it's for a sob story.
October 19, 200816 yr Such short odds for Diana now... at this moment in time (and this early in the competition too) I think it's hers and Cheryl's competition to lose!
October 19, 200816 yr I do think it'll be a boy out next, I don't see how it can't be tbh :/ It's definetly one of Daniel, Scott and Eoghan out next I think, they hardly stand out, they're so bland and predictable that they all merge into one.
October 20, 200816 yr Author I would like Daniel out next. But I'll think it'll be a shocker like Alexandra or Rachel.
October 20, 200816 yr Er WTF  Did you not see her performance last night she was the best one there Quite right - along with Diana. Daniel should go next week
October 20, 200816 yr I have a feeling it will either be Daniel or Scott gone this week or it will be like Gary says a 'Shocker' goner. I don't think Rachel would be much of a shock if she was to go anymore. I think the shock will be any one of Cheryl's, JLS or Austin TBH -_- It wouldn't surprise me if that was the final 5, and TBH I think I would like that as the final 5.
