What time is the show on tonight?

I heard on another forum that JLS is singing "The way you make me feel".

Apparently this video confirms it, but I don't have flash on this computer so I can't confirm it myself: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CuG_oUErXgY&feature=user

It's Louis Walsh's blog but I haven't seen it so it might not be related to it at all.

I thought Britney Spears was confirmed?

Apparently Will Young has been confirmed too... not sure which week though!

I hope Britney, Leona and Same Difference do perform!

Same Difference's performances on X Factor were legendary.

how could Diana sing Man in the Mirror?? surely she will have to change the lyrics i dont think it would work as well :( i was hoping someone like Austin got that......
I thought Jack White & Alicia Keys were performing. Pink is also said to be doing it aswell.

Simple.

Part of Simon Cowell's plan to ensure she does not win by stitching her up. Especially after the planting of the negative story of her in The Sun newspaper this week.

To get her covering a song that Geraldine McQueen sung in her audition in Britain's Got The Pop Factor....

is suicidal from a competition point of you.

Britain's Got The Pop Factor - Geraldine - Audition/Pre Final History

Obviously Simon does not want her to beat his favourite Rachel and is setting her up like he did to the equally odd but brilliant Susanne Manning in Pop Idol 2 who was so much better than Simon's favourite Michelle McManus.

How utterly ridiculous!

If Simon was going to begin some behind-the-scenes agenda to boot someone out, it'd be against the likes of Daniel who he is aware will garner large public support at this stage but who will not sell beyond his debut single. He would NOT aim to rid the competition of a future star who could sell plenty of records, equally profits for his record company.

LOL.

You make me laugh, Jarkie.

But the Judges don't think about the contestants anymore. They just think about themselves and what it will do for them if they Win. Cheryl is the only one who I genuinely believe where she believes ALL of her acts EQUALLY! And that's probably because it's her first year as it was the same with Dannii. But all the judges are like 'I want to win this' 'I need this' etc... when Cheryl is the only one I haven't heard say that! I feel Cheryl has actually got to know her individual acts all the same and you can tell she doesn't favour one or the other. and the other 3 judges are thinking $h!t, we've lost this year!

But anyway isn't it Cheryl that chooses the song for Diana??

Oh yes, I forgot about Will Young. He's on Week Five apparently.

Can someone please open a new topic for tonight, I can't be asked to go through all the pages to be up to date to where everyone is posting, and it was easier like last year to do so. -_-

How utterly ridiculous!

Seriously, what planet are you living on.

Maybe you should buy Pete Waterman's second autobiography where he revealed all the manipulations of Pop Idol (namely how furious Simon was that Will Young, whom he never liked since further verified by Mark Frith (the former chief editor of Heat magazine)) in his autobiography) beat his chosen one in Pop Idol 1 Gareth Gates.

Pete Waterman at least had more principles than Cowell when he refused to stay around the set of Pop Idol 2 when Michelle McManus won and never returned for X-Factor despite Simon's requests.

He was rightly fed up and upset at the blatant manipulation by Cowell and the producers to create a McManus victory by planting false stories in the media about the best female singer (and early favourite whom both Will Young & Darius tipped for victory/was their favourite) in that series Susanne Manning whom Cowell never rated (I still get angry thinking of when Suzanne did a decent vocal attempt at Yazoo's Only You and Cowell said the song was terrible and the performance was "a train wreck") "calling McManus fatty & being a diva not signing autographs for handicapped children"; and the way she was forced to switch songs with barely 24 hours notice from Murder on The Dancefloor (which so would have suited her voice) to Young Hearts Run Free on a Disco theme night; whilst ensuring Michelle more often than average always got a late performance slot and a sympathetic TV .

Susanne was eventually eliminated in 5th place and despite offers from Record Companies went back to University to finish her degree before getting a job with BBC Oxford and never publicly sung again.

Susanne Manning - I Don't Want To Talk About It (Pop Idol 2)

Yet Cowell said that Michelle McManus was as good a singer and had as good a voice as Mama Cass (Mamas & The Papas).

I could go on and on and provide further evidence from comments made in the past by Steve Brookstein, Will Young, Darius and even more recently Gareth Gates regarding his manipulations but I don't see why I need to hammer home a point that is so blatantly obvious to see what is happening in front of your eyes.

Simon's PR is run by Max Clifford (who in case you are not aware looks after such class acts as Kerry Katona & Jade Goody) has seen how popular she was on the votes last Saturday (from the feedback on sites like Digitalspy where Diana was the most popular on Final 12 Week 1 and how well U2's With Or Without You climbed the iTunes charts, etc), so has planted a negative story to adversely affect her popularity, so that his chosen one (it is irrespective which category he has it is HIS show to do what he likes to MANIPULATE the audience) Laura wins.

Seriously why do you think the other three judges took part in the Peter Kay's Britain's Got The Pop Factor .... on Sunday night to knock the monster that is Pop Reality Talent shows and especially X-Factor and the use of sob stories, soft focus camera's; power ballad music usually from Simon's musical stable; and banal cliches to manipulate the audience vote.

Oh & remember last year and the way the producers did their best to stitch up Rhydian Roberts:

Rhydian Producer Stitch Up Xtra Factor 2007

Plus getting his gimps last year Shayne Ward & Leona Lewis to both say whom their favourite was last year: Oh what a surprise it was Leon Jackson.

Fast forward one year and who does Leon Jackson want to win X-Factor? Well according to an interview he has done in Scotland's Daily Record today it is Laura (the Mariah/Celine/Whitney) wannabe.

Remember Simon Cowell is hated within the music industry not least for his opinions on music. In his autobiography he revealed "He does not get" what musicians/music critics see in David Bowie & Kate Bush who are consistently regarded as the UK's greatest ever male & female artists of all time yet they are Simon Cowell's least favourite artists of all time, hence it is natural that he won't get Diana in the way that he never liked Susanne in PI2, therefore Diana winning will be a bad scenario for Syco, as he'd rather have a safer more anodyne singer like Laura, Alexandra, Eoghan or Austin win as he knows how to manage and manipulate these blander acts.

That X-Factor advert annoyed me. "The standard has been set" showing and playing Laura performing Fallin'. BOOO. Totally unfair.
