One of LA Weekly's latest music news articles plows behind the scenes of The Streets singer Mike Skinner's like as a musician. Months ago, UK popular newspapers and magazines reported that Mike Skinner's track...

"When You Wasn’t Famous" describes an evening he spent smoking crack and having sex with an unnamed British pop star, then watching her ply her milk-fed image the next day on U.K. kiddie music show CD:UK. British tabloids have had a field day with the song, with claims that it’s about either former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens or Cheryl Tweedy, vocalist for equally sugary pop group Girls Aloud.

Basically, we've learned nothing more than we already knew, if that makes sense. So this time, since they obviously seem to bring it up so often, we've created special pictures to help emphasize the point:

Anyway, back to the article. When Skinner was asked about the mysterious identity of said pop star, he only pulled out that whoever it was, liked it. Or something along the lines of:

“I will say that the person that the tune is about didn’t mind it at all,†is his only comment on the subject. In the same song, he laments the advent of camera phones, since they hinder his ability to “do a line in front of complete strangers.â€

The article then continues on about more of his life etc. etc. If you're interested in reading the full artlce here which will tranport you to LA Weeky's write-up.

I must say I think it's Rachel myself. :o "and past the childrens appeal I see the darkness behind" points to her more than Cheryl imo.
Cheryl's just a $l*t it wouldn't surprise me if she got Kimberly into drugs :smoke:
